You can indeed grapple rockets. Grappling a low velocity rocket is pretty much the best movement tech next to skating since it’ll go farther, do it twice, and doesn’t even require touching the ground. Im rating it a 11/3

Strand has officially become my favorite subclass on warlock. My build with grapple, verity's brow, and the new fragment thread of generation which gives grenade energy on damage makes getting my grenade back so fast. All I need is the new trials SMG with demo and it'll be even better, tho I love Quicksilver storm because the micro missile gives an extra little bump of energy and is a decent DPS option with the grenade launcher version

While load-zone cheesing the terminal overload another guy grappled my sparrow instead of driving on his own, it's awesome that they allow such stuff.

Rockets do indeed work, you can test this by either looking straight up so you have no recoil or by going to the artifact's edge patrol zone on nessus because for some reason you have no recoil when standing on top of that pillar. You have to be frame perfect and pixel perfect in order to make it work, but if you get it down you can literally aim somewhere and be like "thats where i wanna go" and be there in 2 seconds

Quick tip - the spinning fan blades In the middle of the round area (zephyrs concourse) in neomuna are grappleable and they will spin with you attached letting you pick where you want to detach (or spin around forever)

@TDT i highly recommend using apotheosis veil on a strand build if you do ur actions in the correct order u can produce 16 threadlings in about a sec for burst dps

Another use for Strand. Turning all rockets to have Demolitionist. Use String of Ascent on a Hunter. Create a Tangle point with Grapple. Grapple reload rocket shots by cancel grappling the Tangle point as you DPS the rocket. Which reloads using String of Ascent. Rinse repeat.

I anticipate someone soon finding out a way to move a yeetable object near an explosive barrel, and spideying it as it jumps into warp.

My friends and I went to the big flat area in Europa and formed an equidistant triangle before grappling each other simultaneously. It worked. We became a UFO for a couple seconds before my grapple detached due to the other guy being too far away which resulted in the others getting whipped away back towards Earth.

You can grapple rockets, just need to be very accurate and it's easiest to do on your own because you're aiming exactly right already

You can grapple the wind turbine in neomuna and swing forever in a circle. You can grapple the drill in the Nessus strike and swing around. You can grapple onto the vex milk wheels in Garson of salvation raid.

You absolutely can grapple rockets but it's kind of tricky since the hitbox is tiny (you need to account for the recoil of the rocket unless you're looking straight up.) The best rocket is Palmyra B because if you craft it with Countermass/Impact Casing/Enhanced Chill Clip/Enhanced Surplus and throw a Counterbalance Mod on it it has really low velocity, really high stability, and perfectly straight recoil which makes it a lot easier.

Grappling on to ships gave me flashbacks to D1 Mars. There was a spot where you could sparrow on top of a cabal ship and those would leave the map going straight up, so it would bring you all the way into the skybox.

I've had randos grapple my Sparrow while just going through patrol zones. Maybe I should give that a try

in response to 2:22 @TDT I can confirm as me and a few friends were playing around with it, you can 100% grapple rockets however its a bit finicky as the velocity has to be low enough to give you enough time to grapple it the only 2 rockets I've been consistently able to use to tether a rocket was the Levi rocket Sins of the Past and the green rarity rocket Butler RS/2 as they have the lowest velocity at 34 and 33 respectfully, I should also mention we were only able to reliably grapple them while aiming directly up so the reticle movement doesn't screw up the grapple alignment grapping it horizontally should be possible with enough practice however, its just the aim reticle movement that's the issue, GL shots might also be possible but we didn't test that I've linked a video I recorded of proof of me grappling a rocket, I want to apologize for the terrible quality however, my pc hates recording or streaming d2 with a passion lmao kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fsh0g5V3m520pIU.html

So far as I can tell you can mostly only grapple human sized objects or larger. Except for specific entities that are independent of the player like nova bomb. That's probably the reason it works on Titan yeets but not much else since there's an actual viable object at the center

Lol Also, Grapple melee combo with Necrotic Grips. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 LAST THING I PROMISE: You can summon your sparrow and do tricks while going through the man cannon in the Inverted Spire strike, if you get the timing right. Grappling to that would be hilarious and also great for speedruns.

Was playing with a random guy who was practically a speed runner of strikes. Each area he broke out the eager edge to take off and leave me and the other guy in the dust either I grappled him or the other guy did and I grappled him so we all stayed together. 10/10 would speed run again.

Just a little tip lion rampants on low mobility with grapple is the best titan movement I’ve seen in along time. You can quite literally fly across maps. I did it in the winding cove just yesterday and stood on the tree that stand sup In The middle of the map then grappled towards the left side area exit if your facing xurs EDZ location and flew all the way to the cliff side overhang just above the road towards the red legion’s fire base Hades. And I had to turn my jet pack off cuz I would of kept flying past it if I hadn’t. Definitely use them for maximum movement shenanigans on the titan.

Fun fact: you can grapple with Icefall mantle active, and since woven mail is just a buff and not an overshield, you can also stack IT with icefall for the ultimate fast moving tank lol. Super unscientific testing, but woven+icefall was able to tank at least like 36 shots from a lightweight smg to the body haha

The spiny turbine on Neptune is just fast enough to allow infinite grappling. It's very fun, you get an audience pretty quickly too. Many want to join.

Some others have found that you can grapple rockets though they were only launching them straight up so it must be pretty hard when not aiming straight up
