My director, Angela Liava'a of Te Varua Ori began a creative movement where renowned dancers from all over teach us their unique styles and perspectives on dance.
For the first workshop of this movement, Angela brought Kanani Asuega from Lokelanis Rhythm of the Island, who incorporates and emphasizes in her teachings self-love, self-trust and women empowerment. Not only is she a passionate and talented dancer who has won several competitions internationally, but she is a woman of great character, love and embodies the spirit of dance.
