As a Barry … I mean ISTP I have to say this is extremely accurate. That's almost exactly like I would react, including figuring out the plan how to do it yourself. I actually felt triggered by that display of unrestrained Te like if it was my own piano. And I don't have a piano.

Te-dom: Hey, did you get that thing you said you wanted? Ti-dom: Not yet, there's no hurry. Te: What's the problem? You said you were going to get it a week ago! I'm an ISFP, so both of these approaches are alien to me. I'd probably procrastinate as much as possible only to finally awaken my inferior Te out of a dead sleep so that I can figure something out at the last minute.

Middle aged INTP who grew up under the thumb of an ESTJ older sister and the video pretty much tracks. Bane of existence during my childhood, but we get along fine now. Took me a LONG time to come to terms with the fact that it's just how she shows she cares. It's not her fault her way of caring makes me miserable... Yeah, I get where Te is coming from, and I even dip into it myself on occasion (procrastination only takes one so far)... but I couldn't live like that 24/7.

As an INTJ with an INTP sister, I've had these conversations with her so many times 😂.

I see how my Te works now. I do often try to do things myself before reaching out for help and because of this i also do extensive research and how-to's along the way. -INTJ

This is something I thought about comparing the way me and my brother (ISTJ or ESTJ, I'm not sure) write our books. I spent almost 2 years just to figure out the main characters, plot, world building and doing random research on writing techniques and other related topics before even touch the computer while he straight up searched what are the fonts and general layout used by the publishers.

This is incredibly accurate as a Te dom. Sometimes I don't use Ni to think about all the other angles of a situation since I'm focus on what needs to be done, finding ways to take care of it so it doesn't need to be completed last minute.

THIS! As an INFJ I swear I've had similar experiences like this with my ESTJ friend and it's a genuine cause of tension in our friendship. I love her but she can be so uncompromising at times and never slows down to consider things once she thinks she's found a way forward. I got a huge spike of anxiety just watching this 😅

Your acting skills are so on point, Kristin. It's easy to distinguish each function. I live with two ISTJs, so their high TE is rampant in situations like these. As a tertiary TI user, they just can't understand why I would leave things to the last minute, as opposed to getting them done right away.

This needed to come with a trigger warning. I would have yeeted Ms Te out of the room.

That seems more like Se-Te just trying to get things done in the moment, than responsible Te usage

Can confirm this is exactly what living with a Te dom is like. Weird thing is I’ve got Te child (enfp) but my reactions would be pretty darn close to the Ti user.

LOL, this is so fricking accurate! I get why it can be hard to understand how Ti users process analysis and make decisions. As a Ne-Ti axis user I know I can drive Te doms crazy, mostly because our thought process can be random and extensive to a point we're not sure it's worth trying to explain all the factors and subjective impressions that are going on in our mind. Sometimes, when we do, Te users try to simplify it all and it can be frustrating for us too how they're missing all the details and disregarding our personal assessment of whatever logic we're following.

I love how the Ti takes time to be logical with all factors when the Te dom is about to be efficient. Personnaly with my Ni-dom I can relate to the picture of Ti in this video when it comes to calculate all possibilities to be the most effective as possible. INTJ here. I think this sketch was a little biased towards Ti. Making the decision not considering when/how/where the piano is going to be used-needed is quite the opposite of Te, actually. In my experience, I just struggle when Ti users won't come up with a concrete decision or plan of action after I gave them the time they requested to think about it; but I always take into account their observations.

I'm an ISTP with an INTJ dad. This is pretty close to almost every conversation between us. Except when he suggests doing something 'ourselves,' he of course isn't included in the execution. Only the planning.

My bestfriend is an ISTJ and I am an INTP, when we decided to buy smth...she always ask everyone and making comparison which one the cheapest one and so on and so forth. She also double checking the rating and review of the shop and product. She did it as soon as possible, like so restless if she want to buy smth. My decision making is more personal, I didn't ask everyone else like she did because my decision making is solely only me who can decide. I need considerable amount of analysis, also I have to analyze my own financial problem before I decided to buy it. My ISTJ friend is quicker from me when she making decision. The thing I always ask is how she gonna pay it, did she have money? How much money available for her to eat and so on and so forth. She can be more impulsive than me somehow. I am very slow to make a decision, usually I make those decision at the last minute lol.

As an ENFP I can definitely relate more to Te user in this video even though it is only my third function. But sometimes I wish I would use it more because when I do I can be extremely productive. Doesn’t happen too often though. I still procrastinate too much. 😅

Well, first thank you for this kit 🙏 Second, as an ISTJ, if I have (well, or assume that I have 😬😅) enough of time, I will always do the research first how to Do a thing (Si), because I came up with a whole lots of contradicting information, until I can synthesize a lot info as possible to came to a general way of Doing this thing in the righteous way (without ANY unnecessary consequences, because that costs resources). Until that, which can take me LOT of time, I can't Do the thing (Te). That can apply if there has been no strict deadlines.

Today I learned a new Australian word: removalist. Well on my way to accomplishing my goal of being fluent in Australian by the end of the year.

Literally every conversation I(Ti) have had with my wife(Te) when it's come to getting something done.

I wished for that video to come, so I have a relatable accurate example to give when I explain the difference between Te and Ti in a sketch, where it's quite clear. Another example I had was a conversation between ESTJ and ISTP couple where the ESTJ was focusing on WHAT will get the job done but the ISTP was questioning HOW does this works and made a research to it. Personally I see Ti in myself when I am working on projects and devices trying to figure them on my own instead of following the most common way, if I am not convinced it is indeed better. And of course overanalysing things is the thing I spend most of my time doing.

Situations like these are casual situations between my ISTJ father & ISFJ mother... Great video! 😂😂

NiTe, yes I'm allergic to procrastination. But I can whip up a plan pretty quick so I'm not running in completely half-cocked. When both our cars were going out, I learned how cars worked, how to DIY oil changes to run through my oil treatments, what the obd codes meant, typical repair time a shop would ask and ultimately how to find the best car at the top of the market when the cost was just too much. Got myself a lovely 98 Crown Vic within a few days, 81k miles, $4.5k. Civilian model so low idle hours. Cleaned the dusty brakes, replacing the accessory belt this spring, and keeping an eye on the suspension. It just feels so good to get 'er done. But yes, with proper research. Thanks Ni, you're Te's best teammate.

I love my IxTJ dad likes to get things done, but yes he can rush too quickly and can sometimes make silly mistakes like this. I get rushed too, but I can be more cautious about pricing and reading reviews in a situation like this. My ESFP mother would love the idea of moving the piano herself though.

As an INTP who has known numerous Te users, this is really accurate. I often want to take my time to think about something and consider all of the variables, but sometimes they just put their foot down and tell me to hurry up. Even if I like the person, it’s kind of irritating to me.
