Voice recognition has me in stitches every time
@MorganThorgan2 жыл бұрын
Whats funniest about this is its totally true. Where I used to live was on the border of Scotland and England. The problem is when voice recognition first came out it only did the stereotypical English or Scottish accent. Our area has an awful blend of English and Scottish and no voice recognition could understand a word we said. It got so bad they had to have an attendant stand at the lift in our local area who had a very English accent. It took them over a year to sort this situation out and when they did sort it out no one would get in the lift cause no one trusted it without the attendant lol.
@generalpurpose7722 жыл бұрын
3:25 you transcribed that part wrong, he said, “that we’d be going aff our nuts at it”, which in English basically means they knew we would be going crazy/getting angry trying to make it work.

Talking shite. Mid Lothian, East Lothian etc have they're own dialect just like the majority of Scotland does to some degree with some word's used in any region and others more localised. While their are people who speak English to the degree they could pass for English in Edinburgh they are far from the norm or mass population.
@benjaminjonathanjamessisko70952 жыл бұрын
@@lucabrasi8420 Yes and no. Folk from Edinburgh do speak more clearly than Weegies. I agree with you that in north Edinburgh and Leith, the accent/dialect is strong and distinct, but it's still easier to understand than Weegie.
