Great lesson. Teacher correcting bow on a string this week. Im thinking what? How?. I have been enlightened to the underside of the hand motion.

Why don't you turn your cello slightly while playing the A string, towards the bow. It lessens the tension on your right shoulder and arm.

Mr. Miyagi: "Or like a jab; your nuckles must take a straight path." Cello teacher: "Close Mr. Miyagi. Unfortunately that's bad advice. In a jab punch your supposed to turn your wrist durring the arm extension. Your thumb never faces up when holding the bow. Mr. Miyagi you stick with your martial arts."
