I never would have imagined doing the stitching on the outside this way would result in such a clean closure. Then again, I am self taught and have so little experience 😅 I have a pair of pants I need to try this on. Thank you for making this video!

love it, as always! PLEASE, I wish, you could show us how you hold the fabric with your left hand from underneath - because try what I will, I always stick my middle and ringfinger through the hole (especially with thinner fabric like shirts, not so much with jeans) and that makes it so difficult to place the stitches properly because I can't keep the fabric in place.

Have you tried using a thimble? Edit: for me, the texture helps to keep the fabric from moving around

@@ShelliSands Thank you for your advice. My main problem is a little tricky to describe. I wonder how to hold the fabric with the left hand (like she does), so the tear is actually not to be seen any more and just needs to be sown together. When I hold it, the torn cloth spreads wide apart and that makes it much more difficult to sow itnicely.

Where can you get the adhesive backing patches from and what it is called ? I can only find webbing.

Vaseline is an adhesive, thermal fabric or filler used to line men's suits. The names vary by country. You can buy it in stores that sell sewing supplies. It is always present in these places. With my best wishes for success :) 🌹🌹💖
