No, its manipulation, emotional blackmail, just another dumb religion, leftist agenda. This should not be allowed in schools. However darwinian selection takes care of them no doubt.

@Olas nh I truly try to have meaningful discussion, truly. Thousands of people near the poles eat fish and meat almost exclusively. What would vegan religion do with them? Lot of people simply need meat to be healthy. I don not say all, but most do. I fear, that if vegan religion took over it woul be massive bloodbath - as it always were with leftist revolutions. It is always the same.
@saxenart
@saxenart 3 жыл бұрын
Josef Hlava need meat to be healthy? U clearly didn’t do ur research. First of all, there are alot of vegans who are living a healthier life then people who eat meat. Second, meat is bad and caused many illnesses. Meat isn’t good at all, that’s just what the doctor wants you to believe.
@josefhlava9575
@josefhlava9575 3 жыл бұрын
@@saxenart Absolutely same can be said of grass diets. Do your research. Conclusion is, that this is only a new religion, great diversity among people forbids one kind of diet. People who claims "grass to all, its best" are nothing but religious zealots and retards.
@ming4182
@ming4182 3 жыл бұрын
@@josefhlava9575 If veganism is "only a new religion", then you have to ask yourself why this religion is endorsed and promoted by UN and WHO and supported by studies from the University of Oxford. These are the organisations as unbiased as you can find. Do you think scientists in these organisations are zealots and retards? If so, where do you get your information from? Oh, vegans don't have problems with people near the poles eating fish and meat because for them it's a necessity to survive. But we're talking about people who live in countries like Germany, Netherlands and the UK where there are an abundance of alternatives, and consuming animals is not a necessity anymore. And mind you this is not about "one kind of diet", it's much more than that. Animal farming is unethical given how they're farmed and treated (if every time you want to eat meat you have to personally kill an animal I reckon you wouldn't want to do it so often). Also farmed animals are given loads of antibiotics on a daily basis to avoid infection and diseases because they're living in such a filthy condition, and a lot of the antibiotics are absorbed by human beings when they consume the animal products which can lead to something called antibiotic resistance. The majority of starving kids in the world live in countries where grain, instead of being sold locally and feed the local population, is exported to be fed to animals in richer countries so people there can eat meat dairy and eggs. This contributes to starvation problem. Another very important thing is that animal farming is detrimental to the environment. It consumes much more resources than plants and causes much worse pollution. It also contributes largely to climate change. If the temperature keeps rising, many of the world's big cities near the ocean and most island countries will be underwater. It will be a huge crisis for our species. The list can go on. So is veganism just a new religion that "forbids one kind of diet"? NO!!!

This is what we need in our educating system all over the world. Instead of one (e.g.) physic lesson have a lesson where you learn what happens to the food that we eat not only meat but other products as well.

Agreed! We need more education on important matters of life: nutrition, critical thinking (especially on the internet and regarding politics), basic body movements, non toxic communication, finances, insurances, politics, depression and support systems, and so much more! Advanced math and being able to recite poems by heart are nice, but only useful for a fraction of the pupils. Teach them things they can actually use.

I decided to watch this video to calm my mind. It'll be 12 months at the end of August that I've decided to go vegan. My family eats animal corpses and I'm confronted with it when I'm in good mood. I already prayed that my family goes vegan but I wonder what can I do to stay calm when they deny the animals the respect and empathy I practice towards animals. I realised I don't feel comfortable at 'my home' just because of dead animals. P. S.: Great Work, Ed, thank you so very much for your respect and compassion

It’s amazing how flawed we are and how logic prevails in the discussion of Veganism. Truthfully, myself, I presented to my class of 16-19 years olds a year ago with the facts and research on the dietary benefits, the environmental impact and the overall ethical aspect of what we do to animals. Presented in a government class, creating a law to be argued- to which I used “Animal Cruelty” as the topic -as I would expand it to all animals. I received every fallacy in the book, nothing could defeat my arguments, but it came down to ignorance and carelessness. Unfortunately an overwhelming majority didn’t care for my words and voted against the topic (basically saying that they supported animal cruelty). Fishing as a hobby was unfortunately a breaking point to many as having a something to do is worth more than a life of something that doesn’t want to- nor needs to die. Although It went down how it did, I still hope it may stick to a few and help them on their way to helping other people, the animals, and our planet.

This reminds me of the day I stumbled upon a video of raccoons being skinned alive in fur farms, which led to further investigation of the meat industry. I gave up meat on the spot. I was 14 years old. It was the first day of joyful summer vacation, but also one of the days I cried the most in my life. It was probably one of the most important moments in my life, in which I finally bursted out of my comfort zone, faced reality, and came to define my passion for animal rights, lifestyle, and my very existence. We all need an awakening. Educating children of the value of all forms of being is crucial, and this is why I often have my students research and write about animal welfare, environmental protection, and human rights issues more than I have them write about science expeditions, technology, art, music, etc. (Not that these subjects are unimportant).

I'm still a meat-eater, and I'm still an addict, and I am still learning how to live without coping as much as I used to but your logic has embedded itself within me & I can honestly only thank you for continuously becoming a better role model as a communicator for people to look to - you truly are a brilliant person.
