Teaching Freebording to a Total Beginner! (Ep.1)

Today I’m teaching a complete beginner to freebord! We’ll use the Freebord 5X and the G3-R boards. I hope this video is helpful for anyone who just started freebording!

What is Freebording?
Freebords are a skateboard designed to simulate the behavior of a snowboard on concrete. Freebords were developed to allow snowboarders to transition to skateboarding (as non-winter transport) without needing to adapt to a smaller deck and narrower wheel-base. Unlike longboarding or mountain boarding, freebording allows you much more versatility with tricks like on the ground like 360 spins and carving. (The spellings Freeboard and Freeboarding are commonly used as well)

You ever notice how the fall line of the road is quite important especially as a beginner. I remember not being able to drift in one direction till i realised the road was falling off to one side.

I actually dont know what you mean by a fall line? Maybe for ep2 we'll do a wider road 😆

@@easy_riders gradient? Like if the road falls off to one side you have to lean harder when drifting or carving against the fall line. It's quite similar when snowboarding as freeboarding. I was kinda befudeled when I was first starting since I never had problems with the road while Longboarding.

@@cereal_thinker ahh that makes sense, so pressumably no fall line is easier to learn on, right?

@@easy_riders there still would be a fall line it's just pointing the same direction as the road. Yeah you probably just automatically compensate for a road falling off to one side without thinking about it or the roads in England are super level😂. You might notice it more when snowboarding.

Thank you for the nice tips :) I will try them soon for me. The other tip from you it was from another video was to have the weight on your front leg so that you can carve easier with your back. I will put more focus to this too!!!

😁☺ Yes your older videos are awesome too ! And yeah i really like snowboarding but i jsut heard about freeboards a few weeks ago and i like the design. But as you said sometimes in your videos the learning is kinda unfamiliar but iam looking forward to drive down the hills like a pro 🤩@@easy_riders
