@@andrewgohring7625 For obvious reasons authentic kung fu masters are choosey about who they teach the advanced stuff. Furthermore, even with explanations it takes years of dedicated practice to learn plus a lot of 'homework' to learn the Internals. So, it is not as simple as the Sifu 'explaining' and then the students magically performing the same skills at a seminar! Watch the clip a few more times and you will see explanations within the descriptions given by Sifu Mizner, that is if you have some valid familiarity with the concepts of the Internals.

@@andrewgohring7625 The level that Sifu Mizner performs the "basic" stuff is very advanced hence all the confusion we see in the comments from 'grandmasters' of Knucklehead Fu. Also, 'sticking' on a basic level IS basic but add 'adhere' and 'follow' and you need to be advanced to make it work. Finally, I know that there are other internal styles such as Pa Kua, Hsing I, certain lineages of Five Ancestor Fist and indeed some of the lesser known higher level Shaolin styles. I agree with you that with the right teacher the (right) student can learn relatively quickly but the skill set is still 'advanced' in view of the fact that the exponents from other martial arts styles, often with decades of experience, scratch their heads and fumble all over themselves to 'debunk' methodologies about which they are totally clueless.

I totally believe in Adam's skill .. for I've touched hands with other Tai Chi masters over the years, and I've been politely projected or thrown by non-muscular force sometimes many feet away..it feels kinda like a ShockWAVE coming up through their body at you. INTERNAL skills means that there are forces moving inside of the seemingly still body..so there is actually a LOT of movement going on inside of Adam arms, torso, legs..which we can't see or even imagine..kind of like an ECHO wave that sinks in as he is pushed on, and bounces back and projects through his body. So that skill is a genuine thing..not some sort of autosuggestion or psionic ability..hehe LOVE what you are doing Adam.. keep training and teaching, so you can be one of those 8 Taoist Immortals some day~ You probably already are.. the Yin/Yang Immortal..😁

A couple of months i went to a tai chi si fu and i asked him for 5 minutes of his time to check how good my tai chi is. The guy was nice and kind and let me try to do somethings. After my unsuccessful attempts he showed me things that are hard to believe. He just touched my hands while we both were in pushing hands stance and my legs as if turned off. I was falling and spinning and intuitively i thought "extend your arms or you'll hit your head on the ground". After tasting this internal force twice, it was enough for me. The thing is real.

hahah i love how simple minded people who dont bother to understand themselves open thier mouths with so much disbelief, first discover who you are through sincerity and then the doors of disbelief that keep you ignorant will open to you through you own personal integrity. unfortunately your egos are stuck in over bearing bullshit due to fear of the unknown due to being lost in your imagination and due to the ingestion of mainstream media processed foods and low quality thoughts and low quality friendships. hahahaha god bless all the negative and bring them to positive this is ying and yang of the mind. Once you clean what you ingest through depletion you may see the truth of who you are and what your real cpabilities are. Fasting from all the things that produce negative in the body and mind will fast track you, educating yourself and using compassion for everything you see and touch will ultimately allow you to recieve blessings from the Akasha. This is how you start to become a master of yourself. Put it simply be real with yourself and watch this beautiful system expose itself to you

The hands underneath really exposes the suggestive psychology of this. There is no way you can pull someone down to the ground from that position unless the person is just falling into you on purpose.

it's just push hands. the other guy is pushing onto his hands, so mizner can just lower his hands and the other guy will be forced to push down on them. it is psychological but it only works if the other person keeps the pushing psychology.
@petermiles9224
@petermiles9224 Жыл бұрын
mugwump1234. “….the person is just falling into you on purpose.” They are falling, but they are not doing it on purpose. Bryan. “ it only works if the other person keeps the pushing psychology.” There is another mechanism. It starts out with the person having pushing intentions. But it then quickly evolves into the pusher having to use their contact pressure to prop themselves up. To keep themselves from falling. How does it go from being a push and becoming a falling reflex? Adam can get his partner to do this by sinking and yielding. Adam uses a linked internal structure in his body from the point of incoming pressure to a point on his feet. This linked internal structure yields to the incoming movement in a sequential way. First the relaxing and yielding begins at the feet, then ankles, knees hips, shoulders elbows, wrists then hands. This creates a line of movement in Adams body that falls away from the incoming pressure, towards Adams base of support. If Adam times this movement with the speed of the incoming push, then the internal structure that the pusher uses to create the push pressure with, will also begin to fall with it. As one big falling structure. Onto Adams feet. The pusher won’t notice this till it’s too late. Once the pushers structure has fallen, and is being propped up by Adams structure, Adam is skilled enough to make sure they will always need to use him for support. They are reflexively applying pressure so they don't fall even further. This is why they find themselves trapped, applying pressure on Adams downward facing palms. Not saying that Adam IS doing it this way. But it certainly can be done that way.

Wrong. Stick and Adhere result in Join. Adam is using his internal quality of release along with the tactic of tai chi - stick adhere join follow - to freeze the opponent and to make the opponent stuck to him. Its more like magnetism that explains it. It's not psychological or some trick. It's physical.

Taichi Chuan or Taiji Quan as it is formally know is a Internal style of Chinese Martial Arts but what dose that actually mean many will say is is about concepts which has some truth to it but in reality it is just a way for people to explain away the things they don't understand in reality it means Grappling Taiji is a old form of wrestling that has many concepts from Daoism but concepts are only half the battle the other half is actual techniques you can not separate technique from concept doing so you will either get a form without meaning or a idea without any way to express it which is mostly the problem with Kung Fu now a days especially without the sparring idk how he came into it but this is a lie completely on the side of Technique & Concept Technique which there is none there is no Arm Drags, Clinching, Collar Ties, or any sort of basic Wrestling Techniques at all & Conceptually he has no idea what he is even talking about and it's evident enough just by seeing the lack of technique but you can really tell by how his students react too his movements they actively position themselves in a unbalanced way & over react with every single thing if it were real then one he would be using a tiny bit but notice able technique & two his student would also be reacting very gently to it aswell not stomping 3 times or being launched like 5 feet from a simple push it's a sign of being brainwashed & for those who just want the path of enlightenment he offer just leave & go study Daoism something he does not represent just by his narcissistic attitude alone pls for those who need to learn what real Taiji & what real martial arts are go watch Ramsay Dewey he is a incredible Martial Artist & person pls keep safe & don't believe this man's lies

A lot of doubters here. The principle being DEMONSTRATED here is a well-known Taiji principle. He isn't showing or claiming to show fighting technique. Any experienced and open-minded martial artist, of any background to speak of, will understand that THE PRINCIPLES being shown are part of a training process. How you use those principles in application will depend on how much you train applications and work on those principles. I don't know Adam, or any of his students, but I wouldn't presume that it's false just from watching a video. I have seen and experienced techniques like those being shown here. It's going to look weird on a video, you have to experience it before judging whether it may be fake or not. Think of electricity in a wire, it has a lot of energy, but we can't see it. Not seeing it, might lead us to believe that it's not real, yet touching the wire will soon show us it's real.

Just because you have an external understanding of the profound art of Taiji Quan it does not make Sifu MIzner's skills fake! Most if not all kung fu styles out there (and I am talking in the upper 90%) are not taught in the way that they should be. This is even more true when it comes to the Internals such as Taiji, Hsing I, Pa Kua, etc. Anyone who is lucky enough to have a real master as his teacher knows that fact. Unfortunately, many students who have a half decent teacher think that their given kung fu style begins and ends with what they know and they cannot be more wrong!

You are right and wrong at the same time. His postures indeed can't generate sufficient force to justify his opponent being thrown back that much, that is his opponent that is throwing himself, taiji is recycling the energy of the opponent. If you don't want to be thrown out, just do nothing, that's why against boxers it is so difficult as they are very fast and it's so difficult to get the "stick". Of course there is some level of "cooperation" as it is a seminar, therefore the speed is appropriate to work on the qualities. You have to begin slowly to be able to feel the changes and work on your timing. As a remark, against grapplers it is difficult as well as they also have the notion of "stick, adhere, join and follow" but it is not theorized as much as in taiji.

@@QuentinKLEau so you're saying that if someone does boxing or wrestling they can defeat someone who is doing Mizner's training because it is less effective against these other arts. So why train what he is teaching? If boxing and wrestling are readily available and take less time to train.
