Dear Mel, I've said it before and I say it again, you are an incredible parenting role model (and as an Ot I've seen quite some of the opposite). The way you empower your kids is amazing. Julian felt confident enough to go the next step and you just explained to him the "dangers" and then let him decide. He could be brave because he knew you would be with him every single step of the way. I remember the time when Julian just became your child and that bond of trust hadn't formed yet and now look at this. You two came a long way, but this kid adores, loves and trusts you boundlessly. Moments like this are truly precious and it's a pleasure to be a witness through this window called youtube. I know this is most likely not the whole picture, but I remember falling a few times when I was learning how to ride my bike 😂 however, as a children of latin american people, i didn't get such nice encouraging words haha, instead if I fell, I was told that "it was nothing" and to "get up and keep trying" which... I mean, it's positive but at the same time it's also neglecting the fact that as a child you're experiencing great pain and it's a big deal that something doesn't work according to expectations. So, to conclude, I just wanted to praise you for being so encouraging, and tell you that you're doing great Mel. You're a wonderful mom.

Julian is doing so well!!! A cool trick to learning how to ride the bike my grandma taught me is when youre riding a bike, you have to look straight to where youre going and not on the wheels. It will help you balance I promise!!! Good luck!!

I think its more effective to learn if there is balance wheels on the rear wheels. Thats what I did to my kids when they were young until they did it their own and,
