An old infant bathtub works fantastic. Drain included.

My kids love to use scoops, funnels, small cups, spoons, and plastic egg halves. They like to fill up egg cartons and ice cube trays too. I use beans or macaroni noodles as my filler. They make the less mess.

My children love shredded paper and I put metal objects in it and they find them with fishing rods with magnets. I give them each a bowl to glacé their way objectives in and then we count them. Science and math lesson all while playing.

Thank you for this great idea! I use black beans or I dye white beans using acrylic paint and some fillers such as bottle lids, big googly eyes, pompoms, cotton balls, pegs, big paper clips and other small items so the children can play I Spy.

I have used spiral pasta and split peas as fillers and have used the butterfly and hornet life cycle visuals as the items to find in sensory bins.
