I had been thinking about getting myself a FTX Zorro brushless ... but now ... hmmm ... tempting ... 😁 Normally this isn't the kind of RC car I would go for but it does seem to have a certain something. I do like those wheels and I do like that chassis and I really do like the fact it is 2WD - I've even converted one of my Vantages to 2WD. Seen it for £297 with free delivery. My problem would be not being able to give it a run until such time as the weather has warmed considerably. My old bones really can't cope with the cold. Do I wait until the warmer weather and hope the price doesn't go up? It's a dilemma. Great review. You've given me some food for thought. 👍

Hi Nick! Yes the FTX Zorro is worth a purchase, so if you opted for that one I doubt you will be disappointed from the research I have done. With regards to the price of the Trophy Rat, it has been stable for a while now.... it is a very nimble and capable 2wd design. The electronic "brain" is amusing as it really does help you out if the back end gets wiggly. On 3s it has superb acceleration and even though it is 1/10th scale, it is really knocking on the door of 1/8th scale as it is 481mm in length. And as I say she does 41mph on 3s.

@@SimonWebbRCandModellingChannel My (driving) skill level would suggest I best go with 2S to begin with if I do decide to go for it. The Zorro has increased a little in price to £239 so it is still very tempting and, of course, it is a brand I know well. However this one has really got me thinking. 🤔😉
