Miss the Tamiya Super Hornet which I had chance to run in the mid-80s ! Cool!

This is the video I've been needing to see since it is focused on my greatest weakness with these RC cars. The prepping and painting. Now I have to say that I'm one of those people who really doesn't like decals. They are fiddly and I personally don't think they look that good, at least not to my eyes. My last build was a Tamiya Rising Fighter - a similar body to this - in a really nice shade of blue and I think it looks just great as it is. What I have been wanting to do though is buy another body for it and have a crack at a custom paint job. Not as a shelf queen though as I lack the space for them. It would just be nice to have an RC car that is uniquely mine. That is the plan. Your tips and tricks will come in very useful so thanks for a very helpful video. I too use that brand of IPA in the same 1 litre bottle. A most useful chemical indeed. I mainly use it, along with my anti-static brush, for cleaning the flux residue from printed circuit boards after soldering. There really isn't anything better for that job. It is also very good at removing the sticky residue left behind by stickers of course. That and acetone are my two most used chemicals on my workbench. I do also use those pipettes.

Simon your model makings skills will shine on this l am sure! The Super Hornet is due a rere really l would snap one up!

I had no idea Hornet was a plastic body !( not a fan of lexan .) In grey primer , it is a great looking bodyshell , a lot more curvy then it looks at first glance .( love the comical one too !)

Iam curious. How durable is outside paint?
