As a anime fan I can say there is no person in this world who hates team rocket

I expected trouble, But not this. I wanted double, But not anymore. Team rocket blasts off, leaving our hearts in two. They’ve surrendered their goal, say it’s not true. Jessie, James, and Meowth alright. Though their Journey ends here, I’ll hold their memory tight.

Team Rocket deserves a better send off than what happened in the recent episode. Honestly they've done better being good than being villains. Hope they get a good ending like they did in the manga based on the anime. Even though they did some despicable stuff, they have done their fair share of good.

It truly feels like my childhood is ending. The original Pokémon and several seasons after, were such a big part of my life.

James finally returns home and stands up to Jessibelle, showing he's grown a spine and won't let her boss him around anymore. Impressed by his backbone, the two reconcile and actually start a legitimate relationship. James invests his family's fortune into a Pokemon Hospital for very sick Pokemon, and runs it with with Growly and Mime Jr by his side. Jessie returns to the Contest Circuits and becomes one of the most celebrated underdog coordinators, having plenty of fans and making a genuine name for herself for her tendency to use Pokemon not conventionally seen as cute and showing they are just as relevant. Meowth gives up his path of crime and ends up becoming a freelance Detective, his ability to speak to Pokemon makes him crucial in solving many high profile cases. There's even talk of a Detective Meowth movie in the works!

It CAN'T end like that! The bond they have has been way too endearing for it to just end that way. I hope they reunite before the finale, with a new goal or, possibly even a triumph of some kind.

In all honesty I never thought I would actually live to see the day that Ash finally finishes his journey

I feel like this isn't going to be the end of them. As many have pointed out, Wheezing and Arbok have yet to reappear, and we simply can't have a Team Rocket send off without the OGs. I get a feeling they'll encounter them, remembering all the good times they had together and reunite. They may decide to give up on Pikachu, and stay together to tackle new challenges. As it currently is, this is way to much of a downer ending for such a beloved trio of villains.

I’m still a believer in that Giovanni is Ash’s Dad and Jesse and James’s Task was to keep an eye on him as his journey progress for the past 25 years

I always thought that a Team Rocket redemption special would be nice. It could be like this: Team Rocket finally catch Pikachu and give it to Giovanni. This is when they start to realize, that with achieving their goal, they have not that expected fulfillment. As they return to the headquaters they also start to realize that Giovanni and the rest of Team Rocket treat Pokemon like shit and force them to battle against their will. Jessie, James and Meowth have a glimps of sympathy for the Pokemon, but decide to accept the fate of the pokemon. However, they are send on another mission to control a production fabric that produces Master Balls and they see their own Pokemon that they have sent back to the headquaters enslaved and lashed. This is when they finally realize, that Team Rocket is truly evil. They try to face Giovanni, but he is just too strong and Jessie, James and Miaowth get kicked out of Team Rocket and are blasted away. This is where it gets interesting. Team Rocket swear to bring down Giovanni. So they travel around the regions and team up again with all their former Pokemon that they didn't send to the headquaters. In the meantime, champion Ash trys to stop Giovanni and free Pikachu, but he fails as Giovanni uses Mega Mewtu and his mind controlled Pikachu. They put Ash into a prison and Team Rocket rises and becomes a global force. While Jessie, James and Meowth try to assemble their team in different regions, they meet other Rocket members and they have to stop themnon minor missions. James and Jessie also face their past. James gets back home and stands up for himself in front of his parents end Jessebelle. He then takes his beloved Growlithe and evolves it to Arcanine. At the end their team is assembled: this includes all their Alola Pokemon, and released Pokemon including Arbok, Weezing, Cacnea that has evolved, Dustox..... Team Rocket then starts a rescue mission to free the champ Ash. Together they finally stop Giovanni. Jessie, James free all of the enslaved Pokemon including their own and Ash and Meowth face Giovanni. Together they are able to free the mind controlled Pikachu and Pikachu then beats Mega Mewtu finally putting an end to Giovannis plans. The special ends when Ash forgives Jessie James and Meowth and all of them go their seperate ways.

If this does end up being the final outcome, I hope that the fan community never allows the Pokémon Company to live that down. The trio deserve better than this. Their antics is the main ingredient that helped the anime last for so long.

Let’s be honest: we were all more upset to learn team rocket was going away than to learn that ash was going away

Welp...there goes my childhood. Literally Team Rocket was always the group I was waiting for in an episode.

It's a travesty that this was the best ending they could come up with for them... They deserve their own spinoff anime, and they wouldn't even have to be villains. I really wish they'd given these guys the good end they deserve. Stay friends and just go straight.

I think if they were to come back for one more scheme, I'd like it to end with them achieving their goal. Team Rocket finally captures Pikachu, but upon doing so they feel a sense of ease and fulfillment. They realize that they no longer have a desire to have him, yet they have always been driven by the goal that they had at the beginning of their career, but now that it's been achieved, they feel satisfied with finally moving on from this phase of their lives. They give Pikachu back to Ash and say their goodbyes, officially retiring from team rocket. That sounds nice to me, idk if anyone else would like that.

Jessie, James and Meowth aren't real "antagonists". That what we learned after 25 years. They love their Pokemon as much as Ash does his. They probably all get together again in the last episode. With a good ending for every relevant character, even for the trio. ☺️

Goodbye, Team Rocket. You made my childhood.

I think there is some tragedy behind TR. They have spent 25 years being the Joker to Ash’s Batman . But throughout the series we actually saw their life’s before TR and realize they are bad guys but flawed human beings that love their job and make a somewhat broken family. If things might have turned out differently they could have been friends to Ash or even companions .

Actually in this context it makes sense. In a lot of jobs when your boss has to help you immensely like Giovanni did with gathering all of their pokemon from various regions, it typically means this is your last chance, dont screw it up. So when they failed how they did, It was either they go back to their boss and get fired, or disband with their own dignity in tact. But we will see what happens to them I'm sure.

That sure as hell better not be our last time seeing them. After Ash gets the monumental success of finally winning a major championship AND getting a post-win mini series? To leave the trio in the dust like that?? Don't do this to us, Pokemon.

This is more emotional than the ending of the series itself.

I rather they unite, confess their feelings of each other, quit Team Rocket, get married, go back to James's family, throw Jessebell out and James have courage to stop his parents nuisances. Meowth lives with them and becomes a celebrity ramen cook, Jesse becomes a celebrity performance contestant and James a celebrity drama teacher. James talent is unlimited so he could be successful in any field.

This isn't the end. James isn't the kind of trainer to abandon his Pokemon for no reason like this. He cares about them way too much. Jessie too, albeit she doesn't show it as often. NEWSFLASH: The final episode (just two episodes later) just dropped and Team Rocket reunited to continue chasing after Ash and Pikachu. Guess this video aged pretty prematurely.

I do think that this is not the end yet. I do think we see them again 1 more time. That being, each of them together having talked things through, and while stopping being Team Rocket for good, we might see them one final time going to Ash, and instead of going after Pikachu they just thank him. Thanking him for getting them to stop being Team Rocket and actually do what they always wanted, and finally accept who they wish to be

Aw man, did they really have to end the episode like that? Especially since they *finally* gave us the reunion with a lot of their old Pokémon that we've always wanted (even if it didn't include the OG quartet of Arbok, Lickitung, Weezing, and Victreebel), the trio breaking up like that just puts a damper on what was the most hoped-for story point I had for this last hurrah.

I refuse to believe that this is the end for them. They're found family and will probably get back together. In fact, I refuse to accept that they might not get together again and will take it upon myself to write fanfiction where they have a happy ending if that's what it takes.

Anyone who knows anime, knows that a group as iconic as this wont just call it quits. What'll happen is they'll come back in the last episode. What I HOPE happens, is they'll come back decide that they're tired of being villains and retire from that life and just do something different all 3 of them together. Then in the short epilogue montage (cause lets face it, they can't just leave things without showing how everyones doing, a year or two after Ashs story ends) we see them all doing something together having fun...(and maybe with baby added to the group???)

After alll those years 24 years I been watching to see 3 more episodes left all those years are over 5hank you for the happpiness along the journey😢😢

Kinda weird that they ended the Team Rocket group with an argument, considering that those three have bickered with each other a lot before.

Maybe since ash won, and he became a Pokémon master, now all the things that made his adventure an adventure must come to an end. I hope someday, James and Jesse will continue to love each other And I hope their Pokémon are returned to them; it hurts a lot.

After everything they went through I really hope they don't end it like this. I heard a theory after that they might reunite with Arbok and Wheezing and their real final ending is teaming up and declaring they still intend on following Ash to get Pikachu (as a sort of 'The Adventure Continues' type of ending for them)

What makes this breakup episode painful for me was that the way Jessie and James walked away from each other kinda gives me parents fighting in front of their kids vibes. When the TRio started to argue, their Pokemon seemed to be so scared...

Oh man! I rewatched the first season of the Pokémon Anime (until the end of the Indigo League) a few months ago! Team Rocket always caused a problem that ultimately lead to the solution in the episodes!

Them ending with an argument then breaking up is a terrible way for these friends to go. They've been through thick and thin and have even be heros. They deserve better. And we deserve Arbok and Wheezing.

Even if Jessie, James and meowth were able to capture Pikachu, they would never give it to Giovanni because they are just too nice. They would take care of Pikachu just as much as Ash does. They aren't even villains, they were just forced to join team rocket because of their individual circumstances... they're the most adorable antagonists I've seen..

Damn this gives me so much nostalgia from when I used to binge watch XY.

I salute to the pokemon creators creating a franchise that many kids watched for many years and making every kid enjoy it the first time i watched pokemon was back in 2013 i waw only 13 that time and had a rough day at school but i encountered a tv series that made me watch every day after school heck even on weekends i would wake up early and wait for pokemon to start and many cartoons too (weekends had the most enjoyable cartoons ngl i kinda wished i finish every season of the cartoons but there's nothing i can do now. And pokemon on weekends were early on air because sometimes on weekends they have movies at night so they air it early) the fact that ash never gave up on his dream made me cry because he suffered so much trying to achieve his dream just to loose his grip to that dream and start a new adventure and try to achieve it again last time i watched pokemon was with my son. My son and I got along together with one thing and one thing only we both love anime but the thing is we got much closer when we found out we liked pokemon more than any anime we watched through many seasons and we finished at pokemon journeys season 3 (didn't even finished the whole series i think wait does pokemon journeys have season 4 idk okay) and we didn't get enough time to you know watch because of his school but i always help him at math because im good at math, filipino, and essays. And my wife is good at science, history, and English she mostly stays home and cleaning making dinner and also attending meetings with our neighbourhood cleaning team my Job is teaching kids math and in a very fun way a game whoever gets the right answers gets additional points at my intelligence card (yes i created that to show parents their how intelligent they're kids are and if a kid gets low numbers on my card i give them a Quiz up to 15 not too hard just a quiz 1-10 is multiple choice and 11-15 is equation ) any ways we are getting out of track here. Its hard to see team rocket disband for many years they have been trying to catch a pikachu and didn't ever bothered to catch other pikachus but anyways im sad this anime had to end but let's hope that the new pokemon will be a good one just like our good old pal Ash ketchum and Pikachu may good bless you all and have a good time

I like how this starts off the way it usually does and then it’s like “oh yea and there’s a Latias.” I haven’t been watching the anime so I’m sure there’s an actual reason why it’s there but as someone who hasn’t watched it, it’s just like “yup here’s a rare legendary”

X and Y was my childhood show so I'm glad for the nostalgia

With this year final chapter on Ash and Pikachu is about to come to the end in "Aim to be a Pokemon Master" we will never see them again then after that but the same goes for Team Rocket (Jessie, James and Meowth). So I'm going to guess this episode is Team Rocket Trio's final appearence since they decided to go their separate ways after blaming each other for their constant failures of capturing Ash's Pikachu and hopefully decided to quit Team Rocket for good just like their former rivals Cassidy and Butch.

I feel like the truly perfect (as close as it can be for villains) is for Team Rocket to face-off against Ash and Pikachu and finally realize that they have spent their whole lives chasing after Ash. They start talking to one another and decide that they will be on neutral terms; Team Rocket walks off into the sunset, as a team, and decide that they want to begin their journey to become a gym leaders.
