Adam himself is my celebrity meet story. He was eating a meal with cast and crew from the movie Bulletproof. The group kept growing and tables were joined. Adam was giving a stunt man a hard time for hamming up a death scene. It was surreal. When I got up to leave, nervous, but I did go up to him and say thanks for the evening. What a great memory some 30 years ago.

it's been probably 25 years or so, and I was already a fan of Adam from his movies and SNL, but had never listened to his stand-up or cassettes. I got a padded envelope from a local synagogue with promotional material from the church, and inside was also a CD-ROM of Adam Sandler's Hanukkah song. I watched it a ton of times and kept it for years. I still love that song, and I also appreciated that the synagogue was using it as a plug. Good advertising.

I really enjoy these podcasts, getting a glimpse at people outside of the roles they play in our culture. I grew up watching Billy Madison, Big Daddy etc. and loved those Sandler movies as a tiny child, but found a lot of his movies just kind of lost me over the years and in general it was a real bummer seeing all this stuff come out from him and almost all of it be kind of whatever. But it seems clear that Adam is just a great guy and still has an awesome sense of humor. I really appreciate getting the opportunity to be a fly on the wall for these discussions.
