True. However, it seems it is very difficult to make a comeback if you are 1 character down. If you are 2 down, it becomes almost impossible.

The decks they built would be rather inconsistent and advantage would go to the side with Guardian since they were running less than half the cards with dice that they would build in a custom deck. Removing a die on a subpar side when you have 9 dice does stink, but doing it when you have 4 or 5 dice is even worse.

Hey Marcus - thanks for the subscribe! Not sure what you mean with your question. There is the "discard" symbol that, when resolved, discards cards randomly from an opponent's hand.

At 20:00 in to the video Zack Guardians a +2 Damage from Kylo onto his Tusken and I was wondering what the strategy was there? I can't see it being beneficial in any way but I love hearing new strategy and techniques.

Douglas Bornhoeft my guess is that damage was going to Captain so he was able to make the decision to resolve it on the Tusken instead.

I've been following your coverage of this game since you posted the gencon demo. Just for clarity, when you rolled the Tusken's die at the end and got the special ability, how are you able to immediately resolve it after rolling?

That is the Tusken special ability! He can discard a card after rolling to resolve his die.

At 27:25 When he activates the Yellow Character and uses Guardian to take 3 damage doesn't Lukaz have to pay the 1 resource he has as his die is resolved?

Between the high quality X-Wing miniatures and the fact they have a CCG where half of the cards come with unique dice, I would like to know what kind of Sith magic Fantasy Flight is employing to craft these merchandise in a cost effective manner.

Dark Tenka you also forgot to say : Their magic power of making LCG where you need 2 to 3 coresets to play it right and have the good cards in maximum numbers... ! ^^

Without the mistake regarding the resource for The Best Defense, would Zach still have won? I think Lukas might have been able to pull it off with 2 less damage. Very fun to watch regardless. I thought Lukas had the early advantage, but I seriously underestimated how strong Guardian can be. It is very fun to see how the game can shift when the Battlefield is claimed.

You didnt pay the resource for The Best Defence. Then you used it to pay for a 2 damage attack.

It works! Especially if you are precise with your board state. It could get messy though, for sure.

How many times in a round can the nightsister use her action ability.

A full health Nightsister can use it seven times per round :D But the answer is "no limit".

Is there a rule as to when you can claim the battlefield? I know that there are better or worse times to do it, but is there anything that prevents you from doing it at any particular time?

You can do it anytime you can take an action! Could do it first action if you wanted to.

It had better be at least best of 3. Card games have enough variance with card draw, but adding dice to the mix seems like a bad idea for competition, if better for fun casual play.

***** well for Game of Thrones the games can take an hour to finish so those tournaments are only best out of 1. If the average game takes 30 mins I am not sure if this game will have a best out of 3.... hour and a half rounds is long for a card game.

Very cool. Must not feel good to the designer losing his own game lol Let the promo guests win. But good that the demo went down to the dramatic wire you couldn't ask for more. The only bad part of dice rolling games is you can't see the dice results. As a graphic designer I'm thinking do they put the name of the color on the bottom of the card for color blind players? It makes sense. The irony being the rarity colors are very difficult to decipher. MTFBWY
