I don't know if it gets brought up, but there's lore behind the giant trident. In an older world (season 2 i think) Phil threw his trident into the void, where no trident, even with loyalty, will return. According to the lore, it landed in Endlantis.

the Battle for Endlantis is such a good video, and it’s amazing to see your guys’ reactions to it 😭😭💚 As for who “New Milo” is, it’s a reference to one of Wilbur Soot’s series. His fish named Milo accidentally fell into the void (it was a Skyblock spinoff) but he got another one and named it “New Milo.” At the end of the series, Wilbur released New Milo in an ocean world. So the lore is that New Milo was in the ocean that the Ender King brought to the End and now he lives in Endlantis :)

"who was old milo" - i know the answer to this one! original milo was a codfish that spawned in a series that wilbur soot did called "one block randomizer", where he lived on a single block in the void, receiving a random item every 30 seconds. at the end of the series, wilbur turned the void into an endless ocean for milo, and phil named a cod in his hardcore world as tribute to the og!

They aren't glitched dragons, they flew through the portals (the ones that appear after each dragon death) and were left dormant in unloaded chunks, to put it simply... Imagine a leviathan laying asleep under the sea after being dropped there by people. Then a human goes where one hasn't been in a while and just woke it up. Now the creature is going to gun for the surface, to return to where it once called home. That is what Philza did, but instead of one leviathan, he awoke two, and they booked it to where they were born, Endlantis.

So the first dragon didn’t do the dead animation right away because the dragon has to fly to the center portal before doing it, the second dragon was still so far from the portal that it went into the death animation right away.

4:53 On top of having those dragon pillars for scale, can we quickly talk about how those are also dragon pillars that he tore down and rebuilt to descend correctly. You see it earlier in the montage. He flattened all of them before he went in with the world eater. Oh, and the battle for Endlantis... That still is one of my favorite videos of all time. Especially directly after watching Endlantis be built, seeing it under attack by two Ender Dragons of all things... god, it's so cool. It really does feel like the plot to a movie. An explorer who's settled in the remains of an ancient civilization, out looking for materials, accidentally awakens two ancient dragons that start heading directly towards the home he's worked so hard to rebuild, and he's forced to defend it singlehandedly. Not to mention the stakes of him legitimately not having the ability to respawn? It's a cinematic masterpiece under the guise of a children's block game.

o7 to Hitch, Chat; mans was a Philza crow well before we ever knew we were crows! Glad to see more reactions introducing people to the talent and skill of Philza Minecraft, Creator of Minecraft! Keep up the quality content, crow sibling! Maybe add some fan animatics to the list? I love how everything that he makes looks natural, other minecraft worlds look purposefully made buildings and biomes. If someone that has never played minecraft found this place, they'd think it's supposed to be like that.

Phil's friend Wilbur Soot had a fish pet named Milo on a Minecraft series that died, he then found another fish and named it New Milo. New Milo then proceeded to yeet himself into the void. Phil decided to include Milo in the Hardcore lore and said that when New milo yeeted himself into the void he landed in Endlantis. 17:21 No the enderman did not kill it. Phil killed it and the dragon shooting upwards towards the spawning platform for the enderman farm was the death animation. Also another minecraft mechanic, the death sound plays when the dragon gets into a set position. So the reason you see the animation and not the sound is because the game is moving the dragon to the death spot to that the sound can play. However, you will notice that the second dragon killed doesn't get moved to the position like the first one, my guess is that the game detected it was too far away from the area in which the game can take over and move the dragon, so it just did the animation and sound right then and there. 20:19 He was going that way to exit the end island biome after gathering the chorus fruit. He was working on another project called Nether Void and someone in chat suggested he get chorus fruit to detect where the random pieces of netherack were under the lava.

I think ya’ll should look into Mindcrack, at least Seasons 2 and 3. While maybe not as impressive by today’s standards they were the first KZfaq SMP and laid the groundwork for groups like Hermitcraft, Mianite, DreamSMP and others. I think it’d be interesting to see you guys looking into early Minecraft KZfaq history.
