Teaneck Ambulance: The busiest “Volunteer” Ambulance Corp in Bergen County, NJ. All of the shots were taken between 13:00-15:00, Unfortunately I could not catch all of the Responding Ambulances, I believe there were 10 Emergency calls, maybe more between the 2 hours

West LA Response Videos a fire departments near me has lights along each line of the warning graphic on the back. Teaneck should do that

If anyone is wondering about that blue SUV at 0:07 with flashing lights, that’s not an unmarked police car because police cars in New Jersey have blue and red lights. That’s an unmarked volunteer firefighter vehicle.

Teaneck VAC's indeed a busy squad Always going on calls Usually see them at Englewood ER Daily sometimes 2 Rigs Fort Lee & Paramus are a couple of other busy squads that come to mind also

They got a new siren on Teaneck ambulance 74 and ambulance 71 still uses that siren They should send 2 ambulances that have powercall siren

sadly, in NJ a lot of volunteer ambulance squads run lights and sirens to everything including uninjured lift assists, and ankle injuries.

yea usually EVOC training is to respond to every call likes its a critical call. There doesnt seem to be like tiered response like police that sometimes doesnt go lights or even sirens to certain calls. Usually thats how an ambulance responds especially for newer EMTs. Some experienced ones take it easy and dont just blow sirens and rush traffic like a mad man.

thats not accurate. It's more like volunteer squads love to be self-righteous. They will not comply with industry standards, because it leaves them feeling less empowered. Same reason why this squad won't become licensed with the state, they want to run the show by making their own rules.

yea i agree with that. Thats a lot of EMS providers though most especially VACS and private ambulance. Like our company came up with (i believe) random 10 codes. Then when we incorporated other towns in our 911 system we couldn't use it anymore because it made other agencies confused when they listened to our radios. lol

So to clear it up about all the lights. In the 80’s one of the rigs got cutoff on the highway while responding. They were sued using the reason of not seeing the ambulance. So now after that they make sure that everyone even the blind can see them. Don’t quote me tho I’ve only heard through the grapevine.
