@@gregorykarimian3813 I don't think anyone is selling these. It was just an article in the magazine in 1936. Quite a few have ben built. I don't sell them right now, but I'm considering selling the casting sets so you can build it yourself. I have seen similar engines for sale at various engine shows around the country, auctions and ebay from time to time. Best of luck and thanks for your comment.

Thanks for the info. I think they were purchased in a hobby shop. Made for holding the plastic bodies on RC cars and trucks. They look better and are easier to use than the cotter pins shown on the plans.

The plans don't show any separate valve seats and I didn't use any on my aluminum head version. Some good bronze seats would probably help the valves seal.

You could machine this engine entirely on a lathe. You would probably have to fix up some face plate fixtures to hold the work like the crankcase and cylinder head. I did most of the work on my lathe. It would help to have a good drill press too. The plans were published in the October and November1936 issue of Popular Mechanics magazine, Pages 626 and 787 respectively then again in a little paper back book called Popular Mechanics shop notes in 1938. The issues and even the plans show up on ebay from time to time. I found my first set in a library and copied them using the library's own copier! If you are looking for the gears for the Midget engine you can try Boston Gear. Go to their web site then click on Spur Gears and then Data sheet to pick out the gears you need. You will have to choose either steel or brass. Also have the pitch diameter, pitch, Number of teeth and bore. These are, in the case of the Midget - the larger gear is 1-3/4 pitch diameter with 24 pitch and 42 teeth, and a 1/4 inch bore. The smaller gear has a 7/8 inch pitch diameter with 21 teeth and a 1/4 inch bore. If you can't find these from Boston gear. Lots of gears show up on ebay from time to time.
