War Thunder SIM - Bf 109 E-1 | The King of Tier 1 Aircraft

So I'm trying something new: videos dedicated to individual vehicles, and what better way to start than with the 109 E-1?
This thing punches far above its weight. It's fast, relatively agile, excellent in a dive AND it has 3000 rounds of ammunition. Not bad for a battle rating of 2.0! It is a very common sight in tier 2 games, and I know some pilots who fly the E-1 successfully in tier 3 as well.

Oh my, when you get enough SP for the E-1 on a 1.0-2.0 match you become lord of the sky lol. I mean a good pilot can trick a 109 and shoot it down even with a Gladiator, but man I can't believe it's a 2.0. I'd recommend you flying the Spitfire Mk.Ia as well, it's such an excellent machine, and once you have a good enough crew and practice enough deflection shots, I think it becomes one of the deadliest rank II aircraft. Nice video btw!

Great video, I rock this plane all of the time. It truly is the most powerful Tier 1 plane. The HE 100 is too fragile, and the E1 is plenty fast.

Hey man, recently found your channel and it has been a blast to watch! I recently got a stick and have been playing lots of sim, still practicing and getting good though, but its a blast. The 109's have been my favorite to Fly BY FAR. Keep it up man!

I would love to see Sim EC VR reviews for as many vehicles as possible with tips for flying them in EC. There is such a lack of content for plane reviews for Sim this would be a great area to fill. Love your content.

I love this plane too and it has pretty good visibility for a bf 109 it's on par with the p-36's

How do you fly so smooth with this plane? When I try to aim, my whole screen is violently shaking. Can you tell me your trim and sensitivity settings for the bf109?

Hmm. The screen shouldn't be shaking too much and I don't trim the E1 at all. Perhaps your sensitivity is too high?

maybe your non linarity is not set up correctly. Try 1.8 for the x and y axis.

The hurricane is the only low tier plane I fear when flying the E1. It turns like a beast!

Whenever I play sim, no matter the plane, I always feel like a small kid driving a car being unable to see over steering wheel to see where I'm going, almost having to go in to a dive just to see ahead of me, is this normal or can it be changed..* In regards to Arcade air battles is there a way to change the target lead reticule, or is that also meant to be barely visible!? Still new to the game and struggle getting regular kills in arcade, in sim with * issue ^ I've never hit an opponent's plane, if and when I can rarely find them!. The only good thing about sim over arcade for me at the moment is doing a split-S, once done I'm at least facing the right way; in AB or RB once done the plane is flying towards me and then turns back 180'' to fly in the original direction is there a way for the view to remain behind the plane the entire time? any help much appreciated

do you use any joystick curves or not? I've been playing without curves for a long time now but I've noticed I sometimes struggle to keep my aim steady where I want it to be and I'm wondering if that's the issue.

Definitely use joystick curves, non-linearity etc. It makes a big difference!

Hello, pilot! I would like know if you use joysitck or Keyboard and Mouse. I need some help about how to use camera in battle in (x,y). I use mouse and keyboard e not good to play SB in Warthunder. I love this movie. kkkk My settings almost completed but I don't like camera. I love this plane.

See the main problem you had is the one and only reason I won't play SIM anymore. No way to identify FoF without literally visual identifying the aircraft by eyesight. Without any sort of indication whatsoever you will have to memorize EVERY. SINGLE. AIRCRAFT for EVERY. SINGLE. NATION. Which is not only on the verge of being impossible, but also a very stupid idea on the Dev side. I get that IRL that's the way it was, but IRL you can see much better and the world is clearer, it's real life duh. Like there is no comparison to be made, human eyesight and the real world are nothing alike. They should at least have friendly markers on friendly aircraft that you've identified. Even back in the WW2 days radios were a thing. It's not a huge stretch to say that the reason friendly units(air or ground) are marked and shown to you is because they've communicated by radio.
