Although to be fair most parts are probably on demand from 3rd party manufacturers in Germany/Eastern Europe. Most of the chassis parts are probably UK made.. Sick build btw, been here for a few years now from the UK and loving the content and where it's going. This is like the new Goonzquad channel now they are house builders 😆 The UK will probably be the cheapest place for parts, 100% the same place as Tavarish, although he wired a load of money to them and it went missing.. wasn't their fault though apparently!

Believe me, McLaren spares are a total ripoff. It's often less expensive to repair a Lambo, because most of the components have Audi equivalents which are much cheaper

Are you kidding? McLaren over produced the 720S. There are over 100 McLaren 720S models within a 20 mile radius of my home in Phoenix, AZ. There are currently over 250 McLaren 720S for sale nationwide in the U.S. on just Cargurus alone. Combined 720S for sale nationwide online over 2,000.

More than likely, the car's final assembly point was a factory in UK. Some parts from suppliers are based elsewhere such as Germany.

Yes, many of the spare parts are stored in the McLaren warehouses. But many of the OEM McLaren parts are made from all over the world, including UK, Germany, China, Japan, and USA.

Yes I would be crying since they did a pathetic job of connecting the aluminium sub frame to the carbon fiber. The McClaren techs need to take a look at how the airplane industry would do that connection. Airplanes do not glue carbon fiber to aluminum but hey that is mechanical engineering and it seems McClaren lacks mechanical engineering and design. Pretty pathetic.

@@torquemada6781 ok, so really 77,000$ out the door after fees, and then another 5,000$ in taxes, you are 83,000$ before you even assess the damage. Unfortunately it’s a parts car but he will make some of that money back with youtube views and I guess at the end of the day, another fast exotic is saved.

I wouldn't plan on any driving the car before July- but that might just be me wailing over the shape my bank account might be in!

Initially I thought that there ought to have been more competition for this car at 21K but on reflection I imagine most buyers were put off by the unknown and the potential for costs to spiral out of control. Something that clearly hasn't scared our V.. I wish him the best of luck although he probably doesn't need it, his work ethic will likely see him through well enough.

McLaren is a designing and assembly company. Most of their parts are outsources, like most manufacturers. They don't even make their own engines, transmissions, or active aero systems, the three primary things that make it go zoom zoom.

The bodies are made in Germany, Ricardo for powertrain, Prodrive do consulting (and hybrid tech). Lots of small companies make wiring, exhausts, interiors etc.

@@maxtremblay48 Tavarish 720s was way less damaged and mostly rear end, the carbon fibre had very little damage in comparison, none of it seemed structural either. This does! This is gonna cost £££££££££££££££££

"made" = final assembly. The parts are coming from everywhere and modern production chains are looking like graph theory. Might just be a German warehouse who stocks the parts in question.

@@unicorncycling806 They were initially coming from everywhere. But Mclaren has shifted the supply chain back to mostly the UK and are continuing to improve this. The Carbon Fibre parts used to be made in a plant in Austria and are now 100% made in Shelleid (UK) in a specially built £50m factory. Engines are also now mostly made in the UK (not just final assembly).

He is probably talking about the rear face of the front bulkhead (what in most cars we call the 'firewall') which is difficult to assess until you pull the interior trim and instrument panel out.

@@nikosopta7733 I get it! Even V Tuned is still learning about the peculiarities of carbon fibre and the difficulties in assessing damage to the tub. If he can get a donor one for $10,000 it will be a good deal provided it doesn't have faults.

carbon tub mixed with alloy twist and crack ie hidden damage i dont think anybody would buy that unless you get a new tub , thats why the car was about 25k its worth that in parts if the damage was easy it would 90k 100k plus
