Dear, sweet Joy - if I lived closer, I would come over and give you a big hug. Watching you going through all the struggles of owning an RV has pretty much convinced me that I should never ever consider getting one.. ( But the thought is so romantic - heading out on the open road, with adventure ahead, and your own bed at the end of every day). Thank you so very much for sharing your life with us. I'm so glad that I "know you"!

Hi Joy! Sorry you've had the run around on your RV. Feels so good to be home....I know the feeling! I understand how Jerry enjoys his RV. My Mom sure enjoyed hers...now she's in Heaven. So nice to see everything you show. Very nice! I'm sure hoping to get back to sewing some new clothes soon! Sometimes it gets overwhelming. 😂 I'm finally getting the little things done around the house that I keep putting off.😊 It's always something!❤ Prayers for you and Jerry!

My best friend in elementary school had a metal red/black plaid lunch box that had the matching thermos. I loved it and was so jealous. My best friend’s name was Susan Guess. She had three older sisters, I had three brothers. I’m 67, funny how you remember those things.

The first batik you showed (darker blue) is absolutely gorgeous!! I also think your little quilts are going to look great on your sloped ceiling. Plus, I like all of your new patterns. So there!! We also have an RV, I decided we had a lemon 1 day after we took it out the first time. We took it back under warranty, and got NO results, so my husband is now the chief RV fixer now. You're not alone.

I have been watching you for 6 years! I watched before I figured out that subscribing was a good idea!.I remember you saying you like to know what other youtubers we watch. I stumbled onto a new one for me a few days ago, I think you will enjoy her channel. Marnae's Country Farmhouse....I watched a sewing video of hers. I was wondering about her....I watched her first video. She is an amputee that can sew, cook etc. Very interesting! She is amazing! Look her up if you want...I will definitely continue watching you!! See you soon I hope!

Hi Joy! What a joy for me to see you again! I felt the need to comment and let you know that today I remembered you and the RV and wondering if you guys went in any trips lately as I haven't watched y-tubes for some time. I came back from my walk just to see y-tube recommended me to watch your video. I am sorry for your experience knowing how excited you both where with that RV! I hope your get the whatever problem it has ( the RV, I mean) fixed and forget all the mess! I am sorry to hear about Jerry being taken to the hospital! I think they have reduced both the quality of the services and the resources in those hospitals. May God keep us healthy because He is the only One who does the healing and we cannot put our trust in anything these days. I like your choice of fabric. I lost interest for sewing (as I lost interest for cooking and doing anything for the past three years) since there is nowhere to go and wear the clothing anymore. I am glad you are so energetic still . Kisses!

Your quilt on your ceiling is really pretty! Don't worry that it's small. Little by little one goes far, as the saying says. Just keep adding little quilts until the whole ceiling space is filled.

Joy, you are too adorable! We just sold our RV after living full-time in it for almost 9 years. It was a headache to get things fixed in it. We travel from Oregon to Indiana. One time to get out window fixed and our door. I'm so sorry you had a rough time... And I truly understand. My husband was upset a little when I said. I didn't want to travel anymore, but there's a season for everything, isn't there? I hope the. cardiologist appointment went well. I'm a retired nurse and I worked in cardiology and as an open heart nurse. I left that area, went into teaching and became a research nurse. And that's when I retired.😅

Hi Joy. When you sew with your BSR, you can't set the stitch length because the feed dogs should be down. The length of your stitches is dictated by the speed that you move your fabric. If you move your work to fast, the BSR will beep at you. Always use a microtex needle, as a "quilting" needle is better suited for piecing. Hope this info helps you.
@Joy4650B11 ай бұрын
How does the BSR know how long you want your stitches? If your movement controls the stitches, then they will all be different lengths. The feed dogs were down.

If you two ever wanna take it to the one in Phoenix, I live just outside of Phoenix in a rural area near Sun City West and Sun City Grand and we have an RV hookup here at the house as well. We had friends who used to bring their rv down and camp out in our driveway for a month or so in the winter months when it's cool, but they are no longer coming because they sold it. You and Jerry are welcome anytime! We are Christians as well and attend Calvary Phx in Glendale, so we'll take ya along if ya ever wanna head out to the wild wild west. :)

I used end to end quilting from Designs by JuJu with my largest hoop 6”x9” on my first embroidery machine to quilt a twin quilt. 108 hoopings😯! My largest hoop on my new Baby Lock is 8”x12” so it is better but the largest I’d do is a twin. Becky Thompson has some end to end quilting videos with Designs by JuJu designs. There are other companies with edge to edge /end to end designs for the embroidery machine from Amelia Scott Designs and Kimberbell are a few others. I think it’s great I can quilt on my embroidery machine.

I just came back from JoAnns. Butterick patterns are $1.99 this weekend. As usual, my JoAnns in Kansas City is a mess. One I really wanted- not there. Probably 50+ patterns all laying on top the cabinets. (Yes I had to look through them all too!) I was only half way through your video when I sent it- should have waited until the end to see your suggestions up close. I like that mandarin collar jacket 6753. Actually, there are not that many things wrong with it compared to many others. You would not believe the stories we hear while we are at that place from other RV owners. We could buy a brand new one, and have more problems. LOTS of fires. A lot of the time we are there we are having scheduled regular maintenance done. The massive disorganization and lack of training are the main problems there. We meet employees there all the time who are brand new. Other employees that we have liked have all quit. Two of the items needing repair this time were due to their damage. A filter not tightened, so it was leaking. They yanked our large electric plug out by the cord and pulled the protective covering off the wires. OF COURSE, they insist nothing is ever their fault.
