Yes, I can only afford to get one or two of a single type of product and I need to be able to get my money's worth out of it. We all rely on HONEST reviews to know which products are worth risking our money on.

As a medical student who worked at hospital and multiple part time jobs at once, I dont see such big problem with that video. She just said people think it's the easiest job and doesn't take much time, and she said that it is otherwise, which is true. It takes quite a lot of time.

My husband is an OR nurse too and worked a 90 hour week because he was on call all weekend after working M-F. He got called in for cases while on call. I would love for Mikayla to experience that.

Honestly, there might be a greater chance that her career does over James’ because as far more heinous and horrible the things he did were, they only really affected a few people and the majority of his fan base weren’t personally affected. With Mikayla, her untrue sales pitch is more likely to affect a larger portion of her audience which are the only ones with the power to stop supporting her and drive her numbers into the ground. It’s a huge shame and very unfair but honestly I believe Mikayla is more likely to lose her platform than James, even though what he did was so much worse.

I think it would have been a much better approach because then she would have been disclosing that one had was the mascara with lashes while the other would have been just the mascara. It would have been a much more honest approach at how the mascara actually performs.

I heard Tik Tok doesn't even pay well. ? Idk 🤷‍♀️. I heard Facebook, IG and KZfaq is where to get paid. I've heards this from multiple influencers on Tik tok. Side note, I use to really enjoy mikayla but I saw right through her filters ect. In fact I use to only watch her on Facebook. Not on Tik tok. I think she should/ will get into trouble.

Swell Entertainment does a yearly financial review on KZfaq, where she talks through how much money she made from views on KZfaq, how much she spends on expenses etc, but also this year she also disclosed her tiktok creator fund earnings and they were slim. So you could probably work out her rough tiktok earnings from the info from that video

I will probably seem rude and disrespectful (or whatever else) but if people trust these influencers their whole lives, it's just a matter of time for the influencers to start using their name and fame as a cash grab. Do y'all still think that famous influencers are there NOT for money? These scandals will stop when people start using common sense and stop getting so emotionally attached to a random person online, even if they are famous, talented and agreeable.

When you put it that way… it gives even more reason as to why this isn’t as big as it actually is IMO. Though she is considered a “trusted” source, is there not any other influencers out there you can watch to determine their credibility on the mascara? Whoever that girl is in the previous video; had a point in a way. Brands lie, even influencers lie, sometimes people alter the results. We have to realize at some point not to put 100% trust into “credible” sources online. (I’m hypocritical saying that lol) People are digging too hard into the “morality and ethics” of this. It’s not “sickening, disgusting, horrendous” or any exaggerative word to describe this. It’s untrustworthy, but I mean hey it caused other influencers to come out and double check the mascara. And boom, they actually find it good. If you don’t trust something, fine a source that would be more credible and move on.
