That saw looks very nice. I want to get rid of my wilton horizontal band saw with the hydraulic down feed

Best bang for your buck in my opinion. Wilton makes great saws as well but it's hard to beat the swivel head feature.

@@yakswelding86 Thats what I like about your saw, no need to reset the back part of the vise/clamp like the wilton I have. They got bought out by JET

As far as your table weld up some tubing you can bolt to aluminum plate & put tubing in the vise. Alot quicker between horizontal & vertical cuts.....

I've had 2 grizzlies, a shop fox and a baleigh.....all had issues. Might work for what you are doing. Picked up an old Ellis for the same price as a new grizzly. IMHO grizzly, baleigh, jet, harbor freight.....all the same junk.

I've used an Ellis. They are ok...but not for the money. Also good luck fitting that thing in your garage. Maybe if you can find one used and have a big shop where space is not a concern. Then again, I'd still rather have the grizzly for quicker angled cuts. I use good blades which make all the difference in accuracy and longevity. Maybe I got lucky, but this saw has been a beast. I've put it through hell.

I've been looking for a smaller saw with the swiveling head ..I've been going back and forth between this saw and a baileigh saw that's about the same specs( BS-128M I believe)..which isn't much more. I've had other baileigh tools over the years and have always been pleased with them bit I keep hearing and seeing people say this is a great saw for the money... Do you have any input that may help esp since it looks like you got this saw about a year ago..any issues with it? Thank you

I've had the saw since 2018. It's been put through the paces. I only run Lenox die master 2 blades. They are more expensive than other brands but cut through everything and last a long time. I have no regrets buying this saw. It's been a work horse and I plan to get many more cuts out of it.

Yes it is variable speed. I've always just kept it on the lowest speed.

Yes as long as you have a good blade. I recommend Lennox, they last forever.

Coolant is messy and more clean up before you weld. Use good blades and you don't need coolant.

My larger bandsaw has a coolant setup that I almost never use... and when I do I'm cutting a larger piece that will fit in this saw anyway... like a 12" ar400 Ibeam was the last thing i used coolant on ..
