We will test the 2016 HP EliteBook 840 G3 to see if it is still relevant and usable in 2023. The device features an i5 6th gen 2.3 GHz CPU, 8 GB RAM, and an upgraded Western Digital SN550 SSD NVMe with 99% health status, 359 hours, 2,000 Mbps read, and 986 Mbps write speeds. The Wi-Fi card clocks at 866.7 Mbps. We start by testing the computer's speed in navigating and performing simple searches on Google Chrome, which proves to be quick. Streaming a 1080P, 60 fps video on KZfaq is fast, with no lag or hesitation in the graphics card. The sound is also good. Boot time is 20 seconds, and the backlit keyboard is bright and incredible. The computer is lightweight, super thin, and has an elegant design. Recovering from sleep is quick, and the computer is functional and fast for light to moderate usage in 2023.
