I am very happy I know about the Skunk Lock. We live in a northern climate. My son's University is 30 miles from me and I have been called on to cut off several "U" locks due to frozen locks with broken off keys in them.

um, vacuum bottles have been around since before my time, i still have the one my grandfather used for work before i was born. that's not new tech. $30 is still a reasonable price though.

Same as thermos released decades ago, invented the concept in the late 1800's. babytown.com.au/product/thermos-vacuum-insulated-16-oz-minight-blue-commuter-bottle/ cheaper and they do fit in bike bottle holders

If you are talking about one that is triggered by movement, then you wouldn't need a bike lock anyways. But if you mean one that when broken sends a notification to the person, they could carry the bike in their arms to a safe place, disengage the alarm and lock, and then make off with a new bike. No matter the gadget, if it is noticed, then the person will find out a way around it. That is why people need to make bikes with an alarm in the bike.

you could lock the wheel to the bike itself or to the rack so if the lock is on the wheel its hard to go away with it even if the guy unscrews the wheel they have to carry the bike somehow

the metal bottle although being cool is superbly ineffective in actual cycling because in the sport, the cyclists actually care about the wight and increased weight is a big decrease in speed.

I think this video could have used about 10 more ads, because when I'm watching a video about products... So basically ur telling me that all these gadgets are for people who are not strong enough to ride NORMALLY? I run a fixed gear no brakes and never used any gadget other than my taillight.
