I do not know how quiet everyone thinks it is going to be? It is a blendering pulverizing solids into a liquid.

I think you have to compare it to other blenders to get the "Quiet" part right. No, it id not silent - it is a motor running at high speed turning a blade to chop up ingredients. It makes noise. What you have to do is compare it to other similar powered blenders (side by side). I just purchased a Ninja Foodi CO351B from Costco and that one sounded like a standing next to a freight train or jet engine (I literally needed to wear ear protection to use that blender). I went to WalMart looking for something that said it was not as noisy and found this one advertising itself as "quiet". This one is quiet by comparison.

Well, at least this "review" definitely puts the lie to B&D's false claim of quietness. It would have been nice to investigate the whole "Cyclone" Glass Jar design, namely to determine if said design at all mitigates the annoying need to interrupt blending with manual stirring, a chore that plagues so many blenders. Oh well. Oh yeah, and regarding that totally bogus Single Serve, i can only imagine having to lift the blender body upsidedown with one hand in order to screw the filled Single Serve onto the blender without spilling the contents with the other hand. What the hell is up with that? I guess it would be a good upper body exercise though, hunh? But we are left without a demonstration. Btw, the biophysiology of human nutrition confirms that dietary protein supplementation is a bad idea. Body builders specifically and modern humans in general suffer from protein overconsumption, not protein deficiency. Those powders are nothing more than inexpensive dehydrated powered skim milk that the government rewards the dairy industry with subsidies to convert all the unsellable excess milk to, a real cash cow for the protein supplement quacks to foist off on the naive. Do your health a favor; dump that crap down the drain. "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants." Do you know how much cow pus is allowed by the FDA to remain in off-the-shelf dairy products?

Can't they figure this shit out?! They want $500+ bucks for a enclosed one which is just a outer plastic case.. It works but the price is insane.

I just used mines for the ffirst time today and it stopped working while I blending. Its warm and the blue light still comes on. I'm not sure what to do atm 🤦‍♀️

Mine is quiet with the small jar on #1 mode #2 and #3 is louder.

Just got this blender... I really don't like Black & Decker.. but I got this one for $45... The previous one I had was a Black & Decker...only lasted about 2 years...700 watts vs this one at 900 watts... this new one that I got does't come with a personal container like my old one...I see that you placed the extra single serve blending jar on the base...how can you put liquid/fruit in it and placing it upside down on the base without it all spilling all over?

NSA as a quiet blender....NSA ( No Such Animal ) anymore than a chainsaw or vacuum cleaner.

I just threw this blender in the trash. If you can stand by it and push down on it with ten pounds of pressure, it’s not that loud, otherwise it roars like an unmuffeled engine!!

A big thumbs down for this blender! It is just as loud as any other blender less than $60! Does it blend? Yes, just as good as a $30 blender! However this blender supposed to be quiet! IT IS NOT!!! So do not buy it because it says “Quiet Blender” in big letters on the box! This is a big lie!
