You need to stop advising people that Magic staff can be used as a self defense weapon. It is garbage. PLEASE DO NOT rely on it for self defense. It will not stop or slow down an attacker. Train, do your own research and stay safe everyone. 💛

@@spaceman4653 Actually I've seen multiple people on KZfaq test the "magic staff" and it's garbage I've seen children's toys that hold up better then it. One test actually had somebody hit something with it and the dang thing broke apart like it was made of cardboard

I bought 1 "magic staff" about 3 years ago, after it opened the once, I couldn't even close it properly, I binned it the same day, wouldn't waste money on it ever again

You lost me instantly when you called magic staff a self defense weapon. They are a party trick or a prop for a magician. They collapse under a strong breeze. There's no way you're holding off a mugger with one of those.

In the Netherlands what is regarded as a weapon (for which you get a criminal record): * pepperspray * Magic staff (ploertendoder) * Stungun * pen knife * lipstick knife * Bear pack (not a real issue, we don't have bears) * gotcha cap (basically a knuckle buster) * pepperspray launcher * monkey wrist survival * electroshock gun So only a teactical pen and the last one are allowed in my country. Actually, I think the same is true for most other European countries.

Proud to be an American. The right to keep and bare arms is a God given right to all of humanity. We won our rights to keep and bare arms by our willingness to fight, to kill, and to die for it. This is something that no government of any kind can provide you with.

@@prostyle1626 I have been to the States about 20 times to know that any American is proud to be an American and that the right to bear arms is strongly rooted by most Americans as a good thing. However, it is not a god given right (the constitution is ratified by your congress and the right to bear arms was written shortly after your independence from England) and certainly not for all humanity since most countries have law against weapons. Where I live I have legal weapons at home and I also have a large knife collection. I'm not against weapons but I do believe in regulation of weapons. Even with that not every part of our law on weapons and ammunition makes sense anymore (and that law is just about 45 years old).

A pack of sharpened pencils is very good especially if some tricky bastard tries it on down a dark Alley, held between fingers and thumb thrust straight towards the Adams apple, deal with that splinter son.yes even a pencil can save you life but you mustn't be squeamish, your surprised natural reaction thrust, like when you swipe that wasp that's tricky and you smack it floor and stamp it, a natural reaction keep calm because he can't see your pencil if he ask for goods off you you have the upper hand in surprising him from short range, if tricky boy is sloppy and stands close you have the advantage to give he's Adams apple a nice big splinter, don't forget snap it in half once it's in.

The key is being able to get to the device when attacked. In my opinion having to carry these is how darker a place the world has become. Is it paranoia or fear to possess these safety gadgets?

Ever considered a tactical pen as defense with a 1000+ lumen probing flashlight that includes a 120 decibel alarm? The flashlight is for blinding a person so he can't see your tactical pen coming for a couple of minutes (and the a larm attract enough people to call the police. As an attacker trying to escape, who does a neck and face look like totally black and blue with 100+ dots of what the tactical pen made? Oh, and it hurts like hell. Well I can live with that the attacker is hurt not leathally but clearly visible for weeks... ;-)

Here in the US is not paranoia. Some scumbags will literally push you from behind into the subway tracks or hit you with something, including a brick or stab you just because they want to, not even to steal from you. They will just do it because they are fucking miserable.

Once you get used to it it won’t do that anymore. I did once. Oh yeah a warning to everyone who uses the magic staff: if you accidentally sit on the staff, throw it away because if you use it again you will get seriously injured. I learned that the hard way. I didn’t know that it was under my bed covers and sat on my bed and it made a huge dent in the staff. Next time I used it, I got a serious cut on my index finger. Took out a big chunk of it. So beware. I tried to bandage it up with a cotton ball and bandaid and put a latex glove on so that the blood wouldn’t drip all over the place. Had to got to a clinic. They got it bandaged up thankfully and it healed up good. I threw it out, but luckily I bought four staffs, so I still have three.

All of these gadgets except for the shoe one require you carry something extra. Bit of an issue if it gets wrestled away from you or you have to go digging for it. There is no time to go looking for it when an attack happens. A shoe that can be used for self defense, is the steel capped ones you get for industry. Many now a days can look quite fancy and don't even look like work boots. My dad had a pair that looked like takkies (sneakers). Kick someone with one of those things and they are going to feel it. But for a hidden gadget and one I'd love to get a hold of that I can use for defense, but also maybe escape if taken is the knives hidden in your belt buckle. if you are like me and wear jeans all the time, no one is going to give your belt a second look.

It would actually be quite easy, volts are just how fast and far the electricity would travel, the proper term for the strength, power or energy is watts, I assume it would be around a few thousand watts
