What's up TM Nation?! In this video, I provide you all with an unboxing and review of the OXS S5 soundbar. It retails for about $250 when in stock, but at the time of posting it doesn't seem to be available. Feature-wise, it is packing Bluetooth connectivity, eARC, Dolby Atmos, different EQs and listening modes, and a total of 6 speakers for a surround-sound feel in a compact design. I bought this bar. I don't think the sound is very good at all unless at high volume and with Atmos content. Dialog was lacking on standard TV (even with center channel boosted) with the sound not crisp and clear like a Sonos Ray or Bose TV speaker, although they do cost approx. $75 more. Also, I could not get voices sync'd thru HDMI. My LG A2 TV has sync adjustment, but not enough to overcome this bars delay. At higher volumes with Atmos content, this speaker did sound pretty good with sounds definitely seeming like they are coming from all around. But using some of youtube's Atmos test vids, this bar fails in that the sounds don't really sound like they are coming from where the test vid claims the sounds should be coming from. But in the end, the main issue for me was lack of clear dialog at lower volumes and not being able to sync voices to the screen, so I returned it.

I'm glad I didn't take any notice of the garbage you speak about this soundbar. It's top notch. Voice clarity is very good so what the hell are you talking about?

@Revolver1981 My opinion reflects the bar I received. Glad you are happy but suspect you are affiliated with this company since they tried to bribe me into changing my review on Amazon. The bar I received was crap compared to the Vizo bar I replaced it with, and the Vizio was cheaper with way better bass and dialog comprehension. How do you like the big old fashion hot box placed in the cord instead of inside the bar? Shows how advanced the tech is...

@@mrc2165 Yeah I don't like power bricks either but several other companies use them. The Sony X700 4K Blu-ray Player uses a power brick. I think it's to do with the hard drive or something similar.

@@mrc2165 And I don't know what your issue is with dialogue. The soundbar has a center speaker especially for dialogue. It sounds clear to me.

Hello, I’m just trying to become familiar with a sound bar. I have this exact sound bar and hooked up to my smart TV via the eARC on the back of my TV, and on the sound bar correctly. When watching regular TV it appears to be normal sound. Is that normal? Will the sound bar put out the sound It is designed to when watching a movie on Netflix or something like that? I’m thinking maybe regular TV will only put out regular sound?
