Күн бұрынThe RS-1800 is back on the bench for some initial testing! Overall it is in fantastic shape and it was a pleasant surprise. This machine has cool features unique to this model, and those work too! It needs plenty of cleaning but this is a better start than we could have hoped for. More to come!

The tape deck playback is coming from the internal record/playback preamp. Our bench testing amp is a Technics SU-G700.

It’s too bad they don’t manufacture those types of machines anymore. It’s probably because they’re complex to manufacturer today because they would want something that is simple cheap and fast to manufacture.
