For the next one up, I intend to go over a bit of a story of how 3 new players learned that Cyberpunk Red's 'dangerous' combat was indeed scary, but extremely fun. Also how one of those players learned that choking an enemy out all comes down to how stubborn that enemy is!

In my campaign, I homebrewed both the Kerenzikov and the Sandevistan as written to be the low quality version. I made the standard quality to add +1 REF and +2 REF respectively, aside from the stated effects, and also raised the price to 1000ed. Before this, players weren't even interested in chippin' in these cyberware items, but now they're really interested in getting a piece.

I'm gonna sit down tonight and read the rules, but I just wanna say I'm grateful for this series. As a long time d&d DM, I'm looking for something fresh and my players are interested because of the game and anime. I'm gonna be trying to run cyberpunk in 2080, so my plan is to do our early games in some form of historic combat BD. I'd love a longer video from you on any tips you've got for converting the world. Like you said in the last video, there's a book on the way, but if there's any generic rules you'd change up, I'd love to hear it.

I have been searching cyberpunk red content for mo the and never came across a single video. The algorithm sucks. Am subbed now, woot.

I honestly prefer Red versus 2077. 2077 is awesome, but Red is a bit more analog and not so ridiculous. Especially from a netrunning standpoint. I loved having my handheld cyberdeck with me, reminded me of playing shadowrun back in the day.

I always thought trying to turn red into 2077 kinda gets arid of the potential red has. 2077 showed a night city that was limited by it being a video game, but red doesn't have those limitations in it's world by it being a tabletop rpg. Kinda like playing a Skyrim tabletop rpg when you could be playing one of skyrim set in the older periods when the lore is alot more imaginative. Good video, helped me as a gm clear up a bit on how I should portray tech in my red sessions, looking forward for more stuff from ya.

The medical items in 2077 - Maxdoc and the other one - don't really exist in red. Worth mentioning as I've spent a lot of combats in 2077 only getting through because on the healing items.

Great vid, though I'd love something a bit more in depth on the development and tech of Red vs 2077. For example arm cyberware like mantis blades vs the scratchers and Rippers. And cybersnake vs the monowire. I'm just starting to learn about the world and settings but i like that there seems to be a continuity regarding it, and I'd love a more detailed video on it.

One case of me adapting 2077 content to RED was that I wanted to give my Netrunner a Heavy Pistol, so I looked at the list of pistols in 2077 and picked the Arasaka Tamayura. Why? 'Cause it's one of the oldest guns that appears in 2077, having first been made in the 2000's - so of course it would be around in the Time of the Red. Hell, if anything, it'd be more popular in 2045 than 2077, because the lore for the Tamayura in 2077 specifically states that it's become a rare find due to it being mostly outdated, with replacement parts and servicing becoming very hard for it. But I'd imagine that in 2045 it would still be in its prime, and a perfectly capable pistol with readily-available replacement parts. There's pistols in 2077 that are stated to be from the 2020's and such as well, but I still picked the Tamayura because 1) I wanted to play it safe, and 2) I kinda want my Netrunner to have the attitude that software engineers from the 90's do now - the ones who think that our overreliance on tech and "smart home" stuff is way too dangerous, and that tech should be kept at arm's length. To that end, he'd probably prefer an older but more reliable firearm design.

+3 is nothing compare to how broken sandevistan in 2077 and Edgerunners, it's like less than third of d10 roll. Also mention that many players go with maxed out REF so they already have +8

And then there is 2020 just got a copy of it and its has flipped phone and in cyberoptic you can get time square marquee a LED screen in vision field for massages lol

Btw, sandy is very bad "You have +3 initiative" but you don't feel the effect. The grab still being a d10 + fight vs d10 + fight, and everything just plays like if you don't have Sandevistan. Giving you +3 to init doesn't fix nothing xd
