First test with this new robot vacuum. I am impressed! Will be doing this same exact test with the Roomba i7+ and the s9+

I'd like more content with this T8+. Real world cleaning? Maybe week or two with whole apartment? Did it get stuck, any other problems? With carpets, toys etc?

Ive got this system and it does an awesome job cleaning. My only issue is the drop sensors would not allow it to work on my area rug with a black border. I covered the drop sensors and now it works great on the dark rugs but created another issue because the auto empty bin. The empty cycle is triggered with the front drop sensors. I ended up only covering the left half of each of the front drop sensors and now it works flawlessly. Couldnt be happier!!!

I had the S9+ and immediately exchanged it for the T8+ AIVI and is immediately better then the S9+ by a galaxy length in terms of cleaning performance and navigation. Plus the added ability to mop is useful and the auto empty bin is likely on par with roombas. For the same price. I'm impressed

Thanks for putting out all these videos. It really helps a lot. I saw in another video that deebot app is very messy with mapping. Is it worth to spend so much and struggle everyday figuring out the mapping issues?

Can you repeat the test with setting the suction at highest in the app? Maybe it wasn’t the carpet as much as the increase in suction that comes with it

Looks like it does a pretty good job! One thing I would like to see is what happens when the bin is full of dust and hair. I've heard that this self empty bin tends to struggle with dust and hair when the bin is getting pretty full. It would be interesting to see if it still does that.
@gnutelliums3 жыл бұрын
I just picked one of these up a couple days ago and once it finished its first run the bin was completely full of dust and hair. Unfortunately the auto empty didn't get out much at all and I ended up having to remove the bin and clean it out manually.
@jonnylee85383 жыл бұрын
@Ryan Becker Simple solution is just let it clean more often so the dirt will not stuffing up the bin in one run.

I hope the robot Vacuum itself should have a mechanism to push out the garbage while the sucking station running. It just like using a small motor or springs to push a card hiding inside the dustbin to push out all garbage(The piston/Cylinder idea) so that we don't need a very strong sucking station but still can take out all things inside the dustbin easily.

The Auto-Empty Bin takes 20 seconds to empty on the Deebot T8+ versus 15 Seconds on the M7 Pro I saw you had a Neabot. Robot Masters Says that it is the same exact bin as the M7 Pro, where it has more trouble to empty.

The bag turned me off to get this bot with the self emptying thing. It’s 2021 come on a bag? How long are they going support that? I still using the LG hombot v3 its 7+ years old now and the T8 seems to be a great upgrade. The Hombot still gets support on parts you can buy. But I hope they would support the T8 also that long. But the bags uugh. It’s to old school.
@AdamsReviews3 жыл бұрын
I actually prefer the bags. Yes I know its more waste but its so much cleaner overall. Just take the bag out and throw away instead of emptying it and having your trash can full of dust and debris...They need to make them to where it can be bagged or not.

I bought this vacuum after doing a lot of research including watching this video and others. The main problem I have found with this vacuum is the app is terrible. I have a fairly large house with a floorplan that is not on a grid and has 3 levels, one of which is 2 steps down to a sunken living room. The bot only supports 2 levels, so when I need to vacuum the living room, I have to place the bot on that level and let the bot create a whole new map, which is deleted after I finish unless I want to delete one of the other 2 maps and replace that one with the new living room map. Next, the app is extremely difficult to work with to do simple things like divide an area. The map developed for my downstairs didn't recognize some of the walls as being walls, so they have become a part of a very large area that includes the foyer, the long hallway that goes to the back bedrooms of the house, the dining room, kitchen and our breakfast dining area. The app allowed me to make one divide in the space and now I can't make any more. I have reported the problems to Ecovacs, but between their English being very poor and their resistance to admit the limitations of their product, I have gotten nowhere. if I could return the robot I would. It is junk without the proper tools available to manage it. Buy something else. I gave it one star on Amazon.

Anyone have a link to the new Shark robot he mentioned? Can't find any news on it
@adamhufnagel14483 жыл бұрын
Best buy can feed your hungry eyes
@reggieandaya87603 жыл бұрын
I had the new Shark and returned it twice. I had wifi connection issues and while mapping my home each time, it encountered something (wasn't sure what) that would would cause it to hesitate while running. Both times it did this. I gave up on it. I ended up trying out the Deebot T5 and absolutely loved it, from the app to the cleaning ability. I am considering returning the T5 for the T8+ for the empty bin and obstacle avoidance.

T8 supposedly has issues with self emptying pet hair because the ports are small. Does the t8 have a dust bin sensor / return to base to empty when the bin is full?
@RobotMasters3 жыл бұрын
No the Ecovacs T8 models don't have the dirt detection or dust bin full sensor. Those are found on the Roomba models like the i7, i8 and S9.
@martinwilling30523 жыл бұрын
@@RobotMasters That is the main reason I will not buy the T8. It can do a whole floor of my house (5 rooms) without recharging but it cannot pick up all the dust and dirt efficiently if it cannot empty itself then resume to finish the job. This seems like it should be a basic function of all self-emptying robots.
@RobotMasters3 жыл бұрын
@@martinwilling3052 Yeah only the Roomva have that capabilities right now
@jonnylee85383 жыл бұрын
@Martin Willing If you let it clean more often the amount of dirt will not full the bin in one run and make it easy to self emptying.
