I’ve bought a 1/4” and 3/8” Zeal set, as well as the long handled flex head Zeal 3/8” It’s my first dive into high end tools (besides what I’ve inherited) and I couldn’t be happier. Trying to decide what my next purchase will be, the Nut Grips or the Wobble Fix extension set. I also hope they get the specialized spark plug ratchet back in stock.

Try using the right tool for the job. Both the ratchets, 3/8" drive, went over 200 ft-lbs on the tester. ASME proof torque for 3/8 is just 150, hitting 220 and 260 is definitely more than adequate. If you're gonna be going 200+ on it you really REALLY need to be on 1/2" drive, not grabbing a cheater pipe.

If you’re buying from Ko-ken Japan at 40% of USA prices why worry about warranty? Your warranty is still in the bank not prepaid pending a warranty claim. My experience two sockets have failed in five years. Own every zeal tool Ko-ken offers. Its quality and it rarely fails. Good information and history about the company. Lastly that problem you mentioned Ford was having that resulted in the founder returning to returning to Japan, wasn’t that a world war with Japan?

The headache s I got from. 3 Snap on truck as I tried to return stuff- turned me off. I suppose and I heard the truck guys pick and choose their customers. U may be a picked guy, I wasn't. The Germans and the Japanese manufacturers do things a lot different than they do in the United States. Both manufacturers know that they make quality products and if you tear them up because of your abuse, they choose not to warranty them I am a tool guy also and I deal with this on a daily basis, but I can tell the difference between a manufactures warranty or abuse

@techschoice Telling, suggesting it's pretty much the same. What I am saying is that anyone can say they are an autorized dealer, and anyone can say I didn't purchase it from an authorized dealer. It puts the consumer in a no-win situation. There is a lot of talk about this. None of it is good, and the "brand" should rectify it effective immediately. It's either warranty or not!

Bs all around. A company can’t stand behind their product if they can’t hold their warranty regardless of who, what and where. I’ve never met a snap on, matco or Mac dealer that doesn’t warranty their product, because they always stand behind it if that take a loss or not.
@techschoiceАй бұрын
