I lost over $70k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Gloria Robinson

Oil was $20 in 1999. It is $75 today. A median house was $120k. Now $430k. A car was $22K Now $48K. Inflation=money printing=M2 expansion=depreciation of dollar. In 1971 a house cost $21k. The dollar has lost 95% of its purchasing power since 1971 when US went off gold standard. As Milton Friedman said, inflation begins and ends in Washington DC where the printing press is.

I think the hard truth is that interest rates should NOT come down, and these poorly run companies who must refinance at higher rates should be left to manage on their own without bailouts. Lowering interest rates and giving away free dollars we can't afford is the WORST thing that could be done right now. Those people with the most motivation to do that should be KEPT AWAY from influencing policy makers. In fact, I think contact and lobbying between them should be illegal!. Our economy needs to be rebooted and recover normally from the gross mismanagement of the dollar and the economy over the last 30-40 years. Of necessity that will require some pain, and we need strong leaders who will take us through that rather than the greedy, no integrity, problem-makers we have now who are only interested in themselves..

100% agree. However. How confident are you that enough working foundation exists to allow the deleveraging to happen? If there's been a hollowing out and gradual replacing of core industries with ponzi schemes, then a return to "normal" pre-2000 business and market dynamics might represent an unthinkably high level of unemployment, like 20%+. I can't think of any person in authority, let alone elected office, who would willingly embrace that outcome rather than choosing extend and pretend, eating the seed corn, borrowing on shorter and shorter horizons, till something catastrophic happens.

The rich want your money. Lower the rate makes the rate payable on CDs and T bills pay less forcing people to put their money in to the risky stock market to take it away from less experience investors. Remember ultra rich do not make money out of thin air. It's the treasury department that can print money. The ultra rich got rich by taking your money away from you. Lowering the prime rate is just another way to force you to make bad investments. T bills and CDs are backed by the government. Cds are backed by the FDIC up to 250,000. No risk for less experience investors to lose their money.

Ted is smart and humble and always has the best interviews. Swimming against the current narrative is Ted, but I believe Ted and his guests over all the others who are living on a hope and a dream and even encouraging others to buy and refinance later, rates are coming down. At the end of the day, if I could only have one financial advisor, it would be Ted.

Aggregate demand increases at the margin due to factors other than population, for example resource intensity. Per capita GDP and per capita energy/resource consumption is 10-50 times higher in the US than in 80% of the worlds population- that’s why the US, which accounts for only 4% of the global population accounts for 20-25% of the worlds gdp and co2 emissions. China and India combined have something like 10x the US population but combined have a lower GDP. In other words, global GDP could increase by 200% before China and India reach per-capita parity. A similar escalation also applies to co2 emissions..

Why does Mike think that people under value the certainty of bonds when the U.S. Government is going to debase the living shit out of the currency moving forward? The debt is unsustainable in this debt based system that requires more and more debt to be printed into existence in order for it to function.
