yes indeed look at all the great stuff that was waymored... MacArthur Park revisited, never been to Spain, Dire Straits setting me up, Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street a really good one too check that out on KZfaq Waylon nailed it even though there's no saxophone he kicks some ass on it.. will the wolf survive Los lobos, Lucille won't you do your daddy's will, another way out there one from Jimmy buffett's Havana daydreaming the super deep cut defying Gravity.. and a whole lot more pop and rock outside the country down here that he got his hands on and just nailed.

For those of you youngsters, I am 84 years old and came to this "old" time Country Music from youth and middle age spent listening to the early folk music. You know, Woodie Guthrie, The Weavers, Pete Seeger. So you young people, I love this guy. I just wish I had another 84 years to listen to him and the others.

Well we got Chris Stapleton the song nobody to blame but me sounds a lot I mean almost haunting like Waylon lyrics, timing and guitar licks even the way ol Chris’s sings it if you haven’t already there’s a good version of it live on here David letterman show ol Chris he’s about all we got today that comes close to real hand written on subjects you can understand and relate to in songs like are hero’s sang! Ol Chris’s spent some time with David Allen coe and Jamie Johnson most of his music he writes I beleve he covered Tennessee whiskey it’s a little differant but a good blues like striped down version of the song I like it it’s good that they bring back some of the old and as long as they don’t totally ruin it I like that it does give others that don’t know it a chance to say that’s a good song and see it’s around 40 years old and written by David Allen coe!
