I love this Shani, thank you so much!the idea that it needs to be organic, inclusive, social positive support, interest & connection based. Limit number, so close by, personal & effective. Perfect! No Chair, no committees, no meetings, no votes, no complications, no long process; no things that stifle creativity, sponteneity & endeavors.

Helping community isn't so easy whenever we have the feeling for ourselves, but in the most reasonable time it demands our attention👍

👍 A gathering that doesn't involve any religion, it's about socialising and connecting with each other, where everyone leaves their egos behind and supports each other as a strong community and stands firm in the face of any unexpected event.

It's a wonderful and wholesome concept but an email or an invite by mail would be much more prefeitoral to door to door solicitation . As someone with a home based massage practice I'd consider anyone ringing the doorbell uninvited for anything other than an emergency majorly invasive and little kids with pleading innocent eyes , emotional blackmail .!

This is something I've been saying for a long time-- admittedly not practicing as wqell as I would have liked. This is healthy tribalism. If everybody took care of their own, there would be very few insurmountable issues.

I remember the beginning of the pandemic and people helping one another. I then remember those same community members keeping people out of their stores and eateries for not having a shot. Lines were drawn and the lines are authoritarian vs libertarian.

So your church, or whatever you see as your community, is only there for “yes people” and is all about fiscal gain? Then you have the wrong community, mate.

@@ElliBeenie Church is great for nepotism. Most associations (of many types) are. I grew up in a church and a lot of connections for first jobs to professional jobs can be made there.
@ElliBeenie
@ElliBeenie 6 ай бұрын
@@fillmorehillmore8239 it all comes down to how you see connections and communities. Having a group of people who have your back and help you out (in your private life and in your work life) is great, generally speaking. Even better when you have a fixed meeting schedule, such as church on Sundays, so you don’t have to find a date where everyone has time. Of course, nepotism is a consequence of communities and groups, which is a huge problem when it comes to equality of opportunity. But that doesn’t negate the benefits of communities. And communities are a big part of human nature. We are all wired to find a group we can belong to. Of course, group think and dynamics are a whole different can of worms. But yeah, depends entirely on how you want to see things, and probably also how sociable you are as a person.

The idea of a community comes from God. Jesus is a community person. As christians, we do not bring people to church, but bring the church to the people and eventually bring them to Christ without intimidation and agendas....
