Exploring a controversial stereotype, Lisa Fritsch shares how to be and see the Angry Black Woman regardless of gender or race.
Lisa Fritsch is an author, speaker and founding servant of LISAServes, Love is Service Associates. She’s a former radio talk show host and national television and radio commentator who pivoted from politics to people after finishing second in the Republican primary for Governor of Texas. Lisa’s work focuses on capturing the attention and imagination of the next generation-be they designers, engineers, technicians, plumbers, teachers, writers, entrepreneurs, athletes, stock brokers, data scientists, doctors - so that they are able to create a world where all have the power, passion and promise to rise up and step into the fullness of their humanity.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

This is my FAVORITE TED Talk. I can't stop watching this video. If I were a resident in Texas and she ran for Governor again, I'd absolutely vote for her. 100 percent.

Authentic Narcissistic behavior born out of a struggle to survive and overcome, compared with well known narcissistic leaders. This type of “leadership”benefits themselves and those they see as tools to help themselves. When the loudest voice in the room makes the decision it is not “leadership”.

The freedom to “be” the ABW is the desire to “perpetuate” the ABW.

It's not anger. It's the right to be a normal person who can express themselves without undue judgement.

@@mhharley Normal expression should be civilized until you are being violated somehow. Thats the expectation for all people. Period. The presenter was disingenuous holding up Donald Trump as a role model. And she was disingenuous insinuating that people don't know the difference between assertiveness and anger. People know what an angry tirade looks like. If BW have that freedom everyone else must have it too. I've been denied service, asked to leave and been threatened with police more times than I can remember just because I raised my voice A LITTLE while not cursing, screaming or being threatening as a very respectful BM. No one in this society has license to blow their top as much as BW. So much BS.

At one point does it stop being a stereotype and become a fact? Because Like 90% of the ones I deal with on a daily basis are ABWs.

What a weak message. Trying to meddle the lines between anger and other emotions to make irrational and unproductive anger seem like a product of love, while in reality it is rather a product of entitlement and unwillingness to see the other side. Perpetuating stereotypes, be it the „ABW“ or any other, has never helped anyone. Power lies in the ability to stay calm and be compassionate. Not in being angry.

Interesting but such waste of time. Why invest so much effort forcing people to like you.? Invest your time in creating opportunities and jobs for your own kind. You're only making thing things worst by exposing such topic to the world ...take care now.
