what Roar means is that somebody who is born deaf does not see himself as any less gifted or in soem way handicapped. they can make sense of the world around them without sound. as such they dotn experience any negative things concerning not beign able to hear, and thus, dont think of themselves as suffering. from our standpoint not being able to hear is a tremendous hindrance so naturally we call it suffering.

Roar They do in the wild when compared to hearing humans, sure you can be deaf and function normally in today's society, but you are still disadvantaged. I would say that always being like a foreign language speaker in your ow language is a shit situation.
