RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group provider, Teena Bhatla, MD, is the Director of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, the Valerie Fund Children’s Center of cancer and blood disorders, the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, in partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute, New Jersey’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Bhatla specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and blood disorders. Her area of expertise is pediatric hematologic malignancies including relapsed childhood leukemias and is closely involved with Children’s Oncology group in developing novel therapies for recurrent and relapsed leukemias. Dr. Bhatla and her team provide the highest level of medical care possible to all children and their families, including world-class treatment options, in a warm and compassionate family-centered environment. She is also fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
