Realistically, their meltdown (for everyone except Raph that is) is honestly understandable. They really haven't been in a fight before and while they are well trained and have sparred with each other and no doubt their father, actually being in the moment is still shaking. Of course, they still recovered quickly and handled it well but I still like how they just freaked out at the start of it.

It’s kind of like the Samurai after the warring states period (or another. I might be getting things wrong). They trained for combat, but for centuries they had none. The only way to use their skills was to become Ronin, who were often just bandits.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SCENE! The crazy amount of characterization in it. It's so hectic and the turtles are giving it their all nonstop, thinking quick on the spot. The flashes of delight at their own genius, as they find their instincts from training are actually good enough to carry them through. I love their little wins. The gang members are also authentically human, the fight never feels like it's in anyone's control. Everyone's just improvising like crazy and having realistic reactions & fumbles. Leo getting distracted micromanaging is so endearing. This is where they find their confidence for that ballsy attitude in the montage later. It's so rewarding on every level! I was whisper-screaming "FUCK EM UP!!" in the theater.

My favorite thing about this movie is how the creators allowed the voice actors some freedom with lines. It definitely paid off cuz it allowed things like slang to feel natural and not forced in

From what I’ve heard of is that the turtles except for Raph fell in love with April at least once Mikey fell in love with April in one of the first version(I don’t know if it’s true or not) Donnie fell in love with April in the 2012 version and now in this movie Leo falls in love with April and I’m all like “What is it with everyone putting teenagers falling in love at first sight?” And then “oh yeah I forgot in the TMNT franchise different versions mean different ways even in the movies they’ve made” so there

In my opinion, TMNT: Mutant Mayhem (2023) is hands down, my most favourite non-Disney movie right after the Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023), Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (2023), and Nimona (2023)! Eat your hearts out, Ember Lumen and Wade Ripple!

Mine is still Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, but yeah, it infuriates me that Elemental has a higher RT audience score than TMNT! Mutant Mayhem was a lot more engaging and had more likable characters and dialogue imo. It deserves more love!

I find it funny how they gave Donnie glasses and that late-bloomer sounding voice for his character in this movie. Especially at 3:18 when he lets out the scream after one of Raph’s sais gets jabbed in his leg. That had me rolling.

I grew up with TMNT in the 90s and I really enjoyed this movie. I’m glad they modernized it and actually made them act like teenagers. I can enjoy with my sons now
