Gloria was the front woman for The MIAMI SOUND MACHINE when she debuted in the 80's with "Conga" and "The Rhythm is Gonna Get You". Check out her stage performance with the MSM- listen to the Gloria Estefan - Rhythm Is Gonna Get You (from Live and Unwrapped). I remember tearing up the dance floor in Tijuana Mexico to like a 20 minute version of 'Rhythm". I also remember when VH1 did DIVAS Live (1998) - it was Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Carole King, Shaina Twain and Gloria Estefan on stage together! VH1 did a 1999 Version with Whitney Houston, Cher, Tina Turner, Brandy, Mary J Blige, Faith Hill, Chaka Khan and Leann Rimes with special Guest Elton John.. Then they did a male version called MEN STRIKE BACK (2000) with Sting, D'Angelo, the Backstreet Boys, Enrique Iglesias, Tom Jones, Sisqo and special Diva Guest - Christina Aguilera. Come on VH1 time to resurrect these specials!
