I started crying the second the brother came on the screen, and was talking about his last words to his brother before this happened. I have a lot of siblings, and obviously we fight, so I couldn’t imagine saying something like that to one of them, and and then something like this happened.

My mom, she has a habit, of texting and driving. Every, single, time, she pulls out her phone, I take the phone out of her hands and tell her, "Don't." I can't cry whenever that happens, because I've wasted too many tears on useless reason. I take her phone and read the message out loud or just turn it off and put it down. It's heart shattering to know this happens everyday, and, this could happen to the people I love if they're not careful. Shattering. T^T

Anyone saying "oh at a stop light" the whole reason texting was such a huge innovation is so that you can get back to people when you're not busy. Even if you think at a red light is "safe" it's not. The person behind you or the person beside you could be distracted and not see the red light or your break lights and rear end you. Always watch. Keep your eyes open. How dare you risk someone else's life for your selfishness. That's what it is, being selfish. Leave your phone in your bag, on the back seat, turned off or on silent.

I was recently run over by a man who was drunk. Fortunately I'm still here. It was awful, just because someone decided they had no responsibilities to their community. I was involved in a car accident in April of this year. It wasn’t even for distracted driving but that’s the first question I was asked due to my age. I was cut off causing me to swerve and loose control and roll my car. My mother said walking up and seeing my car upside down was one of the scariest moments of her life! I was involved in a road rage accident which I believe needs to be talked about more and so does distracted driving.

This is such a serious matter that people don't think is a big deal until they are put into the situation. Whenever I am driving, I put my phone in the passenger seat, heck!, the back seat! There is nothing that is important enough on social media or text messages that should distract you while you are driving. If it is that important, at least pull over and get out of the traffic so that you don't make someone else pay for your mistakes. Thanks FBE for making this very valuable video that will help open up the eyes of young drivers and even older drivers.

I praise my friend because whenever she’s driving she’ll set her phone to driving mode, and anyone that sends her a text will get a reply saying that she’s currently driving and unable to look at the text or text back

Penguin TFM my friend has been using it for a couple of years now. I don’t think people are aware of the feature because it’s not something that you yourself notice unless you’re looking through the features yourself. It’s usually something that’s brought up to you by second hand. That’s how I learned about it. Most of my friends that do something about staying away from their phone is by usually putting it on airplane mode. But I like the driving mode as it sends a message to the other party member to make them aware.

I started crying when the brother said what his last words to his brother was. I started thinking if that was me to my sister bc like someone said there, siblings are a lot of times so mean to each other. Either if it's a joke or not. We never think that whatever we say can be our last words but it can happen any time with the world that is today

My phone is almost constantly on silent or vibrate. It's less distracting then. I don't drive yet, but if it vibrates once I'm not gonna check it. If it vibrates multiple timesI'll, I'll pull over to answer the call. If someone is texting you, it is not important. If they really need to get in touch, they would call.

We also kinda have to remember tomorrow isn’t a given. We gotta be careful of ourselves and others. My mom had a setting on her phone that if she’s driving, her iMessage sends a message back to the sender, saying “I’m driving right now and can’t see your message. I’ll see it when I get where I’m going. If it’s urgent, send another message saying “URGENT” and a notification will be send with your original message.” So damn smart.
