Great video. A couple of tips we learned on our first round: 1) Melt the ends with a lighter and they dont ever come apart 2) Make a full length bracelet and use the smaller left over end for a matching doll's bracelet. Our's fit perfectly on an American Girl doll.

Mine didn’t click and the plastic bit the thread is on keeps getting stuck and it just won’t work

What I've notice is that there is to much strength in the handle that pull the bracelet. To get a very well made bracelet you have to control the pull. In the true Kumihimo technique, the bracelet goes down in the center of the kumi disk with help of a small weight. The basic concept is good, just need adjustment. I do kumihimo bracelet for my small workshop and this is definitely a time saver for basic kumi bracelet. But I did knew what to expect. It IS a plastic kids toy after all.

I make jewelry, mostly with wire and beads and my daughter who will be 5 tomorrow always wants to help but she is just too young to help with the type i create so i thought this would be good for her i was just afraid of it being a disappointment like so many of these types of craft machine toys as i call them, can be. So i have a few questions id greatly appreciate it if you wouldnt mind answering if you have time if not i totally understand. Were you both happy with its results? I was unable to see the bracelet well. And can the spools be refilled by hand? Looks like they could be and it might be easy to and would save a ton of money over the refill packs. I have TONS of that same thread, i use it for hair wraps. But anyway thank you for the demo! It definitely helpped me decide that i will definitely be getting this.

Brought this for my 7yr old, Christmas 2018, she normally has the attention span of a goldfish and very little patience, all normal, but she loved it. Yes it is a bit fiddly to set up but it gave us some great together time all in all I’d recommend this, it makes lovely bracelets, she enjoyed doing something together and her friends were really excited to be given bracelets that had been made in their favourite colours.

Alot of whiners on here. The video was very precise and well explained. It does take some time to get all the spools set up but if you follower her exactly, It works beautifully. My 7 year old watched video and got to work while I supervised. She nailed it! and was pumped! Get an adult to burn the ends really helps. Thanks!
