The only cd's that have followed me into "real adulthood" are my Tegan & Sara cd's. Everything else got lost in the chaos that is moving/living/grieving but not them. They are just too good to lose. Everything they do is the best thing I've ever heard.

They do soft songs so well. It's so catchy and powerful. Can't wait for the album, definitely going to listen to the whole T&S discography again

Tegan's slow songs always seem to connect with me on a sub-atomic level. Kinda like how Sara's upbeat quirky songs do. And sometimes it switches up (Yellow and Northshore, for instance). Not a bad song in their entire discography!

I’ve listened to this on repeat for the last two days. I went from a ten year relationship to dating someone and getting into it heavy with them only a month after that ended (they were also just getting out of a relationship at the exact same time). The relationship was toxic and reactionary and we ended up hurting each other a lot, mostly because we were both still grappling with our own issues from before and we were bringing it into the new one. They were pretty abusive and instead of sticking it out like I did before, I ended up running and breaking up with her because I realized I jumped into this new relationship in order to feel less of the blow of the last one and we weren’t right for each other or healed enough to do it right. They definitely blame me. We haven’t talked in a while and I wish we could have been friends because we did stay together for a year (my shortest relationship ever). I fell off from T&S for a while, but this new album gives me all the same impactful feels that The Con did. And just as they did back when I was a young teen, they make me feel seen and understood in this chapter of my life.
