This music video makes me tearing a little bit because following Tegan and Sara's work since I was 12 years old and looking at my own past and remembering how they helped me with coming out to my parents and friends, how their songs helped me when I had hard moments in my teenager years and how I grew up learning with them. I am a better person because they taught me how to be good. ♥ Thanks for everything! And I know I am not the only one that you helped, there's a lot of ppl outside who feel the same, I am sure they do.

I agree with you, but for example the most important supermarket chain in Spain has them in their music every day. not many people know them when I ask and instead they use their songs on very commercial sites. Crazy!

I can't stop listening to this. Tegan and Sara are my age, so the sound of these early recordings brought forward are just loaded with nostalgia, and I consider them "peers that made it" in the business of art. I'm very proud of everything they've done ❤

I'll admit, I never even heard of Tegan and Sara until Closer came out. Immediately though I fell in love with their music, and what they stand for. Fast forward to about when I turned 48 and finally came to terms with my sexuality, it helped me through that, not to mention it's helping me now get through a time where I'm in love with someone I know I can't have, thanks ladies ❤❤

Something that makes this my favorite on the album is that it's the only song on any of their albums (I think) where they switch lead vocals midway through. Seeing that done on camera makes my little fanboy heart go pitter-pat.

I started listening to Tegan and Sara since I was probably 10 or 11 and they impacted my life more than anything ever has. I had no idea I was bi and after listening to their music and seeing them in interviews/music videos , I realized my queerness. They gave me the safe space to be myself when I lived in a home where that was impossible and I will forever be grateful for your artistry and passion for music.

I was on a tight budget and in prison looking at all these albums of theirs in a walkenhorsts music catalogue years ago, wondering how they sounded, i have like 4 cds of theirs and then another girl i dated had a bunch of them it was so amazing, getting out now and seeing all these videos and the latest project, its really REALLY cool, this is the type of positive music that i love.

Why is sexuality so important to you I have absolutely no issue jamming to Sainthood with "Sentimental Tune" being the obvious banger in my MAGA hat. I admire the hard work and dedication they put into the Con. Tegan and Sara have been one of my favorite bands for quite some time if not my favorite, I can't say I keep two CDs and a couple tracks on my USB (sorry I prefer the live acoustic version of the ocean" from any other artist in my car. Why we gotta turn this to a gay thing? You're not special for being gay. It shouldn't be a thing to discuss, you're gay and I prefer gym shorts to jeans. That's about as relevant maybe even more so. Race doesn't matter, sexuality doesn't matter while they may influence who you are you're more than who you're attracted to or how easily you're sunburned. I'm not going to correct my grammar I'll just have a good time winning

rustyshack Woah. Woah. I just mentioned it and made it clear to the person because it’s a bit confusing. I know I was confused when I first started listening to Tegan and Sara. It’s not that deep, buddy. I really need to listen to ‘Sentimental Tune’ more. Sainthood is my favorite album of theirs, but there’s some songs on there that I don’t listen to much like ‘Arrow’ and ‘Sentimental Tune’. But ‘Northshore’ and ‘Paperback Head’ are my go-to songs off Sainthood. I also prefer ‘ The Ocean’ live. ‘Night Watch’ is also pretty fucking great live. But I swear that this isn’t that deep. So many other people mention the fact that they’re gay too. And it’s just fine that you’re going around in a MAGA hat listening to Tegan and Sara. I’m personally not a Democrat or a Republican, but I respect your political opinions. I’m glad you enjoy Tegan and Sara. Have a good day.

I love this! It's like a tin can phone between our younger and older selves! I would tell my younger self you can make a difference at any age and not to wait for the "adults" to handle it bc sometimes young people can see more clearly what needs to be done. My younger self would tell me to listen to more show tunes.
