Ironically, I kind of prefer the janky older models. I'm glad she likes her current setup, but the derpy expressive flatter model was just great imo.

I recognize the music as the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. While I've thought about streaming since finding Hololive, I have backup plans in mind for which career path to go with, assuming any are sustainable.

She's explained a few times why, but the gist is that the tech she was using isn't being maintained anymore and there's been some hardware incompatibilities with that software stack.

While I don't personally enjoy her streams I have to say that girl DM genuinely seems like an interesting person with some experiences on her back. A lot of vtubers and streamers in general are kind of regular boring people.

As someone who loves doing the vtuber thing... do not quit your day job. I love recording, I love getting into character, I loved designing my model and rigging it, but I've been at this for several months now and have 32 subscribers, which is a miracle quite frankly, I have no idea where most of them came from, I don't run ads, I don't market myself. If I had no other form of income during this time, I would be homeless. I would love to just do this thing full time and be a big personality, but that is not happening with 32 subscribers. If it's not happening with 32, it sure as hell isn't happening with 5. Do not quit your day job for any less viewership than would make a revenue value equating to minimum wage.

There's always been a bit of a delay since the tracking information is sent from an iPhone to a PC, and this is the best 2D tracking there is right now. If you're comparing it to the old 3D tracking, that tracking no longer exists, as the software she was using there has been abandoned by its developers.

@@Tess0246 That's fair. DM has said she would like to go back to 3D sometimes, and there are new software, but she hasn't had time for it. 2D is more simple and easier to work with.

If you were only watching for the model Im sure someone else is filling that niche now. Otherwise it's not really a big deal. I listen to most streams in the background anyway; the actual avatar is just kind of a novelty in the long run.

@@IronicHavoc tbf, she could use VSeeFace or Warudo, and everything would work just fine. Or continue to use Luppet even if it's not supported anymore.
