Let me say, I was a little upset when I saw slide didn't knockdown and it was fully launch punishable, but since then I think I realized it's a valid nerf considering how strong his highs have become and the nerf isn't that bad since you can now completely mix up people from mist step with 3+4 being a real slide unlike in Tekken 7, so you can mix up mist step 3,4 and mist step 3+4 (slide).

KZfaq blessed me with this channel. I'm an OG and used to use him for fun as a pocket sub (with Kazuya/Jun as my mains,) in T1-2. He's one of my favorite and one of the most underused characters in Tekken. I'm going to sub him to throw folks off and he's fun. There is probably a universe where Lee adopts Kazuya in T3 and tells him what happened to himself and Kazuya, but Jin doesn't believe it until Hachi stabs him in the back after using him for bait. So T4-7 is Jin going back to his uncle Lee and trying to carry out the will of his mother and not turn to revenge like his father and grandfather, all while doing Lee's badass moves.

As far back in t4 ive always loved lee/violet solely cause of his visual and characterization, tbh at this point i dont care what bamco do to lee kit-wise id still main him nonetheless, but oh boy am i so glad we got so many new things, im so fucking hyped for tekken 8!!

To note couple things you might have not realized: db3+4 is now i21 as opposed to i23-25 in Tekken 7, meaning it's unseeable and +4, unfortunate but there is no reason to use db3 anymore. Also slide at the range it becomes -9 or less punishable, can be anywhere from +7 to +9. Last couple things since his ff2 can go into mist step to be +5 on block into mist step mix-up (I can see it a some combo filler for more damage into b2 loops as well) and ws1,2 can do the same since it goes into mist step for potential mist step mix-up now.

I've been thinking that slide isn't as bad as everyone thinks it's gonna be, being at worst +3 point blank to force a full crouch mix is super good. Curious what the point of the blue spark slide is tho other than getting heat gauge back, doesn't seem to do anything unless I'm just missing something

Do you know if the b3,3 pick up timing is still tight? I can't get it consistently on CH d3, uf 3+4, bb4, and even my ff4 timing isn't amazing.

Lee being in crouch at +3 after a slide also means ws1 is uninteruptible, which also gives you quick access back into Hitman.

The only thing i wish he had was a just frame version of hms 3 where after he slams you to the ground he curb stomps you like his sidethrow.

My guess is db3 will no longer be -12 on block but safer. The current i20 at that range for just +2 is already below average imo. There's no way they would nerf it.

And counter hit d4 is still a launcher same pick up in back 33 mist step just like T7

29:28 you didn't noticed there but that's his best buff he ever got. b3,3 has the damage displayed there meaning it's natural! It might be a display bug (tho it didn't show up on f41) but if that's the case, Lee has a low/high NC string, that's so crazy It also got a buff on the frame from -3 to -1 oH without going to MS which would be +2 to +4 oH This is one of the strongest low/high string I dare say Lee would have no struggle to open turtle with this
