Harada confirmed on Twitter that this ending & original ending are for interpretation as far as what's cannon

Yeah, I guess Harada didnt think far yet. So as of now, its only up to us to figure out what feels canon. Harada is unpredictable, so who knows. Kazuya could win given his devil form took over Angel. So I assumed Angel lost to Devil. Meanwhile for Jin, we thought he’s gonna be as villainous as Heihachi and Kazuya, especially since he couldnt do it right so he intend to kill both of them and himself to save the trouble. In Tekken 7, its mostly about Heihachi vs Kazuya. Bad vs evil. And now Tekken 8, a redeemable hero vs evil. Jin defeated Kazuya and Heihachi before. But we dont know how it’ll go down in this game since they fought only as humans.

Yeah....This is not canon. If he gets lazy, Harada could rip from Mk and say that this fight was split into two timelines.

But Kazuya knows this,look how he tried to leave after Jin was down at first. He doesn't care about killing him as long as he isnt stopping his plans. Kazuya has learned his lesson at this point,if he wanted to kill Jin he would snap his neck or throw him in a volcano instead. Jins ending seems to be a sequel to this,and we see Jin is completely fine.

@@delayedsaint Kazuya survived it due to the devil gene that helped him stay alive. Both of their devil genes are now gone after fighting eachother so that would mean Jin and Kazuya would most likely have died if they were thrown off a cliff without their powers unless they were built like Heihachi or something.

I don't believe he did kill Jin. I do not see a single lava pit, Kazuya. Are you sure you eliminated your competition? You gotta make sure the lava pit is there first before you throw him in.

I mean He himself survived from falling in a volcano so Jin might be fine so is Heihachi hiding inside the lava. These Mishimas are immune to Cliffs lol

Jun won canonically, because if its just Kazuya then he is doomed as he will have to face Reina with devil form without his own. With both Jin and Kazuya alive, they can team up. This will probably help remind Kazuya there are people that cared for him. Originally, Jin wanted to kill Kazuya. And now, Jin knocked out Kazuya, but never kill. Idk what will Reina do though since she appeared to Kazuya.

Jin and Kazuya will let go of their grudges and they'll fight Reina together. Jun will come and help as well. Imagine how epic that would be!

Honestly, while I don't deny his resolve. I feel like without his devil gene powers in this non-canonical ending, Kazuya is screwed. Ignore that other Mishima's like Lars and Reina were giving him a problem even with his true devil powers. But Reina seems to have the devil gene in her. How do you think that's going to turn out for him? 😅 This Kazuya also got to attend with the possibility, somewhere out there, is an angry momma Jun pissed as hell.

Well Jun actually saved Kazuya at the end credits but even without devil gene he was still beating Jin up 😂 if he didn't have soft spot for his son he wouldn't have hesitated for the kill but Reina just now unlocked it so her power scale is endless knowing her father he prob experimented on her in a lab or at birth

It's tekken though. the power scaling is wonky. base kazuya would give true devil kazuya a run for his money if that "mirror" match somehow took place in the story.

I’ll never forgive the developers for not making Jinpachi a playable character. Don’t give me that kinda backstory without the satisfaction of the opportunity to play into it! Especially since they’ve clearly leaned into the theme!

This was a secret ending in the story mode (despair) trophy it's not canon but the creator Harada said it's up for interpretation

This is the evil ending, so yes, Jin dies here, but it's not canon. Jin wins in the real ending.

Jin probably didn't die here. There has been no Mishima that has died from falling off a cliff. Jen fell from space, that cliff isn't doing him anything, even unconscious.

Just make another pact with the devil to get his powers again- Oh right, that was retconned. Uh, I guess try and make a pact with the evil spirit that possessed Jinpachi after he was retconned into both not having the devil gene and not being possessed by the devil spirit?

Yea jinpachi was possessed it says it in T5 but there still ways to get the devil gene as we know G Corp & Heihenchi did tons of experiments & testing on his kids

The pact with devil was stated as an in universe rumor. The manual said thats what other theorised about Kazuya. Also mistranslations Its not a retcon.
