Yoshimitsu made his debut in the original Tekken in 1994. He is one of three characters (with Paul Phoenix and Nina Williams) to appear in every main installment of the series. Yoshimitsu is so popular that he has been in Soul Calibur series as well.

To answer all your questions (all of past lore, not including T8 to avoid spoilers): Kazuya - He's had his red eye since Tekken 4, when after being thrown into a volcano by Heihachi, his body was recovered and resurrected. His devil form has been a thing since Tekken 2, and not brought back until Tekken 7/8. He has a nod to it in Smash Bros Ultimate. His devil form is because of the devil gene, and he passed it onto his son, Jin. Which is why Jin also has a devil form. Paul - Ultimate Tekken underdog, has been there since the very first one. In the first few games, he would consistently make it to the semi-finals in the tournament that's held in the story. He's American, so I like to think your comment about the beer and favourite team winning a game is fairly accurate lol. King - He's a wrestler. We only ever see his face once in the intro of Tekken 1. Technically this King isn't the same one as the original. The original King fought for cash to keep his orphanage afloat. After he was killed, once of the kids from the orphanage took on his role. He is human, but only speaks jaguar, even though the jaguar part is just a mask. Lars - He's not from another time period, he is the leader of a rebellion group called Yggdrasil. He is also an illegitimate child of Heihachi, which makes him Kazuyas half-brother. He's actually a pretty chill, level-headed dude. Jack-8 - A (mass produced) fighting robot who has been around since the first game. A fighting robot for the military, whose number refers to its model. Tekken 7 for example had Jack-7. Jun - Jun is the mother of Jin Kazama. She went missing after Tekken 2, when the god of fighting, Ogre, supposedly killed her. Jun and Jin were fighting Ogre, but Ogre knocked Jin out. When he regained consciousness, both Ogre and Jun were missing. She hasn't been in any canon games after Tekken 2, until now. Asuka - She's a cousin of Jin, but their family relations have really not been touched upon in the story so far. Hwoarang - Ah yes, there all comes a time where women fall in love with Hwoarang lol. He's Jins rival / friend. I'd probably call him one of the, if not the cockiest out of all of them. Bryan - A soldier who lost his life and was brought back as a cyborg. He is a psycho who loves fighting, and will beat up everyone and everything when he feels like it. Claudio - He's Italian, the world strongest exorcist and the leader of the "Archers of Sirius". He's also my main and absolute favourite.

(yeh he's Insane) Reven : Assistant of Victor. King : is a Wrestler. Main point of the Story : everyone is trying to Stop Kazuya, cuz he wanna get Devil's power and Destroy the World (or Rule the World) and only Jin can Stop him, cuz he's the only one who's strong enough to Stop him.

Nina is one of the deadliest assassins in lore alongside her hotter, more interesting sister. She's scarier than Brian TBH because she's Lord Baelish that can kill you more than 100 ways. Leo is a SHE/HER. King is a luchador but somehow only speaks jaguar. Yoshi is one of the more noble characters in Tekken. Dragunov isn't dead. Brian is, and is the cyborg that killed Yoshimitsu's clan to test his new upgrades. Lee is technically a trust fund baby, but since he is an adopted Mishima (Kazuya's adopted brother) he had zero respect from everyone. His wealth right now is self-made and he funds the third/rebel faction lore-wise. Claudio is Italian. Asuka and Lili are NOT friends. Victor doesn't protect a small village in France. He is top management in UN and the head of the Ravens. Kazuya and Jun are Jin's parents. Jun was presumed dead during Tekken 3. Kuma is an adopted Mishima. Panda is Xiaoyu's pet. Lars and Reina are Kazuya's illegitimate siblings. Zafina is Tekken's oracle and had sealed this universe's source of evil in her arm. Law is drowning in debt. Some characters don't speak their language. Zafina is from Egypt but speaks english. Alisa is russian but spwaks Japanese for example.

the reason bryan looks so weird is cause he is a cyborg. before that, he was just a corrupt cop that eventually received those upgrades with a battery power (similar to robocop, but being evil). after finding that ( and slaughtering yoshimitsu's clan after he was gentle enough to save him after a battery failure), dude is literally dedicated to wreak havoc everywhere he goes. he is so cruel and ruthless against his opponents, that one of his win animations is beating his defeated opponent to a pulp on the ground.

Cool reactions. One of the best thing about fighting games in my opinion is their infinite replay value. When you pick a character and learn the game you can continue to learn new things and get better for years on end. The more you learn the more fun the game becomes. I'm glad you got exposed to a taste of Tekken 8 through the trailers.

lil thing that will go unoticed with no background, kuma and panda have similar moveset, the diference bein that, they both have moves from their "soulmates" lets say? kuma have some remaster of heihachie's move, most notable one bein the electric wing god fist (here bein called the fresh wind salmon fist i think?) and panda having remasters, like, not well made version of xiaoyu's acrobatics move, like the flying bicycle kick thingy. and idk, i think its some cool détails.

Ngl, i find it funny how so many people are doing these react videos of the T8 trailers. I also find it interesting when people reference other characters or events when Tekken were the OGs of said characters and events. BUT! I'm so happy you're a fan of Zafina, when she was first introduced back in Tekken 6, I was very intrigued by her design and her story, she plays very different compared to the others on the roster, even more so now that she's losing control of Azazel. With my main from Tekken 7 not being on the base roster (thankfully he's the first DLC), I'm likely going to be using Zafina until he comes out. Either Zafina or King, who is a wrestler that speaks Jaguar for some reason.

Some character points that you might've been wondering: -Azucena, Victor and Reina are completely new to Tekken 8, hence the music change. They're just as new as you are! -Nina is an Irish assassin who gets into alot of deadly fights with her sister, Anna Williams. -Kazuya Mishima is the father of Jin Kazama and son of Heihachi Mishima. He has the power of the devil inside of him. -Jin Kazama is the son of Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama. Like his father, he too has the power of the devil. -King is a masked wrestler hailing from Mexico who fights for orphans, often giving prize money to needy children. Despite merely being a mask, he growls like a jaguar when he speaks. -Jun Kazama is the mother of Jin Kazama. She's an animal rights activist who approached Kazuya in Tekken 2. -Asuka is Jin's cousin, yes. She's a spunky tomboy who fights to dissolve fights. -Lili is the spoilt daughter of an oil magnate from Monaco. She has a fascination with Asuka and loves to bother her. Some say it's rivalry, some say friendship, some say it's love. -Hwoarang is a bike rider from South Korea. He has an incredibly cocky attitude and is the self proclaimed rival of Jin Kazama. He's an exorcist who belongs to an order of exorcists dedicated to fighting and banishing supernatural threats to the world. -Yoshimitsu is a ninja/samurai belonging to a clan. Despite his seemingly scary looks, he's one of the few truly good guys of Tekken. He's a Robin Hood type who steals from the rich/corrupt and gives to the poor. -Lee Chaolan is the flamboyant and stylish adopted son of Heihachi Mishima, meant to be a sibling rival for Kazuya. He hates Kazuya and Heihachi with his entire body. He created Violet Systems, a company netting him millions. So he's anything *but* a trust a fund baby! He's often seen wearing stylish clothing such as tuxedos, fishnet vests or expensive coats. So his more military tech outfit might be a bit jarring. -Jin (and Devil Jin) isn't actually DIO's VA. But it IS Jotaro's VA!

Marshall Law is canonically American, but of Chinese descent, so I guess they let him speak English. Some characters do speak Japanese while not being Japanese per se. Xiaoyu (Chinese), Alisa (Russian), and Lars Alexandersson (Japanese-Swedish mixed). Lei Wulong, who is also purely Chinese, also speaks English. Everybody else pretty much speaks their own language.

Stumbled across this on my recommends, great reactions! Been playing Tekken since 3 but only seriously since Tekken 5 DR on PSP. After playing hours yesterday I can safely say this is the best Tekken since Tekken 5 hands down, best time to get into it because it's super beginner friendly compared to previous entries. A lot of people can jump in and have fun with easy inputs in story mode, practice and arcade quest to get situated before moving into online. My main is Kazuya cause he's got cool moves, badass strong silent type, and always swagged out in stylish suits so his personality speaks to me; definitely main a character whose style you like & who you have stuff in common with, makes it more enjoyable. Also always liked Jun who has history with/loves Kazuya (she debuted Tekken 2) and is Jin's mom, so yes, that means Kazuya is Jin's dad. Story can get complicated so just look up The entire story/lore of Tekken, plenty on here that best explain everything, it can get messy xD
