That Impel Down episode/chapter where Shiryu was first released and cut down the guards in an instant with his katana was definitely the most sinister and bloodthirsty ending in OP so far

Fun fact: in the italian translation, when shiryu Is released from his cell in impel down, he says something around "Sorry, but i had to check if my Blade still have its edge"

I'm so glad you've finally covered shiryu. He doesn't get enough love, he a true villain to a series full of humourous characters.

You've mentioned the possibility of someone killing Mihawk dishonorably before. Shiryu would be an amazing candidate for that, it would bring him into the spotlight, give him a lot more plot significance, at least with Zoro, and he's already revered as a terrifying swordsman. He would be perfect for that role
